Basic description of duties: GENERAL: Making daily entries in DRMIS-Finance, monitoring proper use of financial codes, preparing financial reports, performing reconciliations, preparing correspondence and performing any other duties assigned by the Budget Analyst. PRIMARY DUTIES 1. Cost Centre Management. Work within CCs that are assigned and be prepared to support Comptroller/Unit Finance staff with other CCs as required. 2. Reconcile daily transactions, investigate erroneous expenditures and take appropriate actions. 3. Liaise regularly with Budget Managers, assisting with Quarterly Reports. 4. Maintain up to date commitment register in DRMIS and Excel 5. Monitor and action requests received in positional mailbox 6. Provide training, mentorship and guidance to jr FSAs 7. Skilled in use of current software (word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation). 8. Effectively communicate in person and virtually 9. Maintain current knowledge of DND financial policies and procedures. 10. Promote team spirit and cohesion. 11. Maintain CAF PT Standard. 12. Provide solutions to enable unit ops IAW financial policies 13. Maintain Commitment items (PC,FR,CO,PAYE) as required 14. Assist in Financial reporting to Chain of command, as required SECONDARY DUTIES 1. Perform routine Base and unit duties. 2. Attend/Participate in annual FSA and Unit PD/Trg 3. Provide FSA support within the Fmn 4. Lead/Participate in Unit/Sub-unit PT 5. Be able to perform all Fin Ops duties during staff absences. Supervision of Junior FSA and Civilian administrators, PSPM and PaCE reporting as when required. 6. Provide Claims support across fmn 7. Filing/Archiving Financial/claims documents. 8. All members employed within the CADTC formation will complete a minimum annual Number of 10 full or 20 part training days, a minimum periodic attendance of one duty period of every 60 days, and minimum essential activities, including the administrative and training requirements of the PRV for domestic operations tier 1, part 1, the IBTS mandated for CBG HQs and all external to CBGs (all trades), and mandatory training as determined by the ATA. 6. Once an applicant has been selected, the home unit must complete C of C concurrence in Monitor Mass. Res F members employed by CADTC on full-time Res Svc for a period of one year or more shall be posted to the CADTC PRL. Exceptions to this direction may be considered for those Res F members who contribute to HU activities and training. Such exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis and shall be requested thru CoC to CADTC.
