  1. RCSU EASTERN has a Class B Permanent for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 00232-13-CIC, or 00376-01-FSA to commence on 01-SEP-2026 until 31-AUG-2029.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

      Candidates whose rank is lower but who are eligible for a promotion may apply. Candidates with a higher rank may apply but if selected, they will have to voluntarily relinquish their rank for that of the position.

      *You must demonstrate that you meet all the essential requirements contained in paragraph 1 in the form of a table. It should contain two columns: one containing the requirements indicating and the other confirming that you meet them. In the absence of a qualified COATS member, a Primary Reserve Force member may be considered and may be offered the position with the condition that the member completes component transfer to COATS, posting to the NDHQ PRL under the administration of DRSM or is attach posted to CJCR with concurrence from their home unit. The posting to the PRL must be approved by DRSM prior to commencement of the period of employment.

      Courses:
      Quals: Prior to taking up their duties, the candidate must meet the security requirements applicable to members serving with the Canadian Cadet Organizations, including obtaining the appropriate security clearance, the Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening (PRC / VSS). Any employment offer will be conditional on the certification that the chosen candidate meets the required security standards. In accordance with the Military Human Resources Records Procedures (MHRRP), the member's home unit will be contacted to ensure that the member has no administrative or disciplinary action pending against him.

  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Participating in training as required;
    B. Issue Travel Identification Numbers as required;
    C. Contact adult staff to confirm travel details;

    E. Initiate travel claims and manage associated administration;
    F. Respond to queries from units and staff regarding travel and claims and

  9. Remarks: A. Candidates must submit an application package that includes, at a minimum: (1) a cover letter; (2) a résumé; (3) the Essential Requirements and Qualifications Matrix (paragraphs 2G and 3); and (4) three letters of recommendation and/or the three most recent Adult Staff Performance Evaluations (ASPEs) completed within the last three years. Submissions must be limited to information relevant to the position being staffed. Candidates must demonstrate that they meet all experience and qualification requirements outlined in paragraphs 2G and 3. It is strongly recommended that this information be presented in a two-column table. In the second column, candidates must demonstrate, through explanations and specific examples, that they possess the required experience and qualifications. The member’s current supervisor may also be contacted. C. The information contained in these documents will be reviewed by the selection committee to determine whether the candidate meets the profile and requirements of the position. D. This is a permanent Class B position for a period of three years, with the possibility of extension for up to an additional three years, in accordance with Ref D. The successful applicant will be employed by the Eastern RCSU. Initially, they will occupy the position of Air Operations Material Management Technician (MMT) but may be assigned other duties as directed by their supervisor. E. Members are responsible for contacting their parent unit to request a nomination under this REO. Prior to submitting a nomination, the unit must ensure that the member has no outstanding administrative or disciplinary actions on record. The employment of Regular Force pensioners within the CAF is strictly controlled and must be approved by the VCDS. Although this permanent position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve employment opportunity, preference will be given to qualified non-pensioner applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified member from the COATS or the Primary Reserve, Regular Force pensioners may be considered and offered the position under Option 1 terms and conditions, which include annual employment day limitations. Periods of employment for a pensioner must not exceed three years in the same position. Upon completion of that period, the position must be re-advertised through the Reserve Employment Opportunity (REO) process. G.
