- RCA School has a Class B Temporary for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 90001-CBT ARMS - NCM to commence on 16-NOV-2026 until 02-NOV-2028.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

- Basic description of duties: General:
Member would be responsible for the delivery of basic artillery training leading up to new members Operational Functional Point or provide support to training. Members are expected to adopt RCA SOPs, TTPs and Lessons Learned in order to ensure realistic training is conducted and prepare new members for initial employment at their units.
PRIMARY DUTIES
1. Assist in instruction on course IAW TP and direction from course officer.
2. Support the Gunner mindset through training, encouraging adaptation of the mindset to Kill, Survive, Sustain and Thrive as future members of the RC
A.
3. Provide garrison / field administrative support to the RQ Gnr cell during the delivery of courses.
4. Provide clear direction to students and be prepared to deliver instruction as required.
5. BPT assume duties of more senior training staff in their absence.
6. Participate in the execution of ranges in accordance with Training Plan.
7. Responsible recording of performance for student files.
8. Maintain a high standard of physical fitness and ensure your subordinates do the same by helping to plan and conduct PT sessions.
9. Conduct periodic safety inspections and report accidents in a timely manner.
10. Read and understand CAF policies, orders and publications. Specifically, read Trusted to Serve. Be committed to the growth and changes being made to improve the CAF culture, rebuild trust, and expand the existing sense of ethos and Canadian values in the military.
11. Direct the work of your subordinates / students, set and enforce the standard for the completion of the assigned tasks.
12. Maintain discipline, know your subordinates, promote their welfare and provide the required resources.
13. Provide feedback to students and ensure they maintain competency while in garrison or in the field.
14. Provide opportunities for improvement, encourage, guide, and critique students on an ongoing basis.
15. Foster the acquisition of knowledge on Artillery Tactics, Techniques and Procedures.

5. All members employed within the CADTC formation will complete a minimum annual Number of 10 full or 20 part training days, a minimum periodic attendance of one duty period of every 60 days, and minimum essential activities, including the administrative and training requirements of the PRV for domestic operations tier 1, part 1, the IBTS mandated for CBG HQs and all external to CBGs (all trades), and mandatory training as determined by the ATA.
6. Once an applicant has been selected, the home unit must complete C of C concurrence in Monitor Mass. Res F members employed by CADTC on full-time Res Svc for a period of one year or more shall be posted to the CADTC PRL. Exceptions to this direction may be considered for those Res F members who contribute to HU activities and training. Such exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis and shall be requested thru CoC to CADTC.
