- RCSU PACIFIC has a Class B Permanent for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 00232-13-CIC, or 00360-01-COATS-GS OFF to commence on 01-SEP-2026 until 31-AUG-2029.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Regular Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.

E. Knowledge of activities related to CCO Programs (NDA, RDA, Corps/squadron, CTC);

H. Familiar with CFTPO, MCS Applications, AIMS, DRMIS and Fortress.
- Basic description of duties: The position of J3 Operations Officer is responsible to the J3 for the regional coordination of information critical to directing, executing and reporting CCO Programs Through the Regional Operations and Coordination Centre (ROCC), the J3 supports situational awareness and control for the CO RCSU, and through them, to Comd CJCR. Primary duties include:
- Lead, manage, and coordinate the effective and efficient operation of the Regional Operations Coordination Centre (ROCC) underdirection of J3; and be responsive to the CJCR Joint Operations and Coordination Centre (JOCC),
- Ensure daily reports, briefing notes and spreadsheets are produced, promulgated and maintained;
- Supervise temporary ROCC staff as required and provide feedback during periods of employment;
- Contribute to and maintain the RCSU battle rhythm including Commanders Update Briefs to the RCSU CO, or their delegate, Op
summaries, Sitreps, etc;
- Develop and maintain an RCSU common operational picture, dashboards or other analytics;
- Collaborate, synchronize and manage submissions to higher headquarters;
- Ensure duty monitoring on a 24/7 basis in order to respond rapidly to emergency situations;
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the ROCC and ensure Regional SOP’s coincide with Fmn
Orders;
- Create and maintain ROCC regional ops sync calendar and support the formation ops sync calendar, including monitoring in year
plans to provide recommendations related to operational efficiencies or impacts;
- Maintain SA on upcoming activities through integration and relationships with stakeholders;
- Maintain SA on cadet participation and requirements related to specific CAF Operations;
- Ensure Command Team awareness and report on incidents that are RCSU CO's or CJCR Commander Critical Information
Requirements events or Significant Incident Reports, relay information and update of tracking tools;
- Maintain updated significant incident and emergency response plans (ERP), and coordinate and support the execution of Critical
Incident or Emergency Response SOP; and,
- Manage and Coordinate RCSU CFTPO including monitoring, nominating, vetting, etc.

- Remarks: A. This is a permanent Cl B position with a continued engagement for a three year period. The applicant will be a Staff Officer within RCSU Pacific HQ. Initially, they will be in the job of J3 Operations Officer but can expect to be assigned to other tasks and potentially fill another role within the Formation during their period of Cl B Res Svc.
B. Position is geo located in Victoria, BC. An alternate work arrangement will not be considered.
C. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date.
D. Upon nomination by the mbrs OR, applicants will be provided with an application form to submit to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone seven days after the REO closing date. The application form is designed to assist the applicant with concisely articulating how they have met the required experience and qualifications, and the secondary requirements of the REO. In addition to the application form, submissions shall include:
1) A Guardian MPRR (in place of cover letter and resume); and
2) No more than 6 documents that support their responses in the application form (e.g. performance evaluations, course reports, letters of recommendation, and awards).
E. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval.
F. In addition to the meeting the eligibility requirements at ref H, the following are required as conditions of this reserve service and must be obtained prior to and maintained during the period of service:
