      Quals:
      Competency Remarks: Applicants must have read CANFORGEN 016/18 - CDS Direction on Professional Military Conduct prior to application. The following courses are also required: (a.) [WMT109] Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS); (b.) [WMT101] Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace for Employees; and (c.) [DDN235] Discover Cyber Security.
      (a.) Good knowledge of RegF and PRes Admin and management policies; (b.) Good knowledge of staff procedures; (c.) Strong writing skills; (d.) Proficiency with MS Office suite; (e.)   3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: (a.) Good working knowledge of Monitor Mass; (b.) Coordinate multiple tasks in support of IT infrastructure within Op Center; (c.) Experience as HQ USS function; (d.) Experience working in High Tempo environment; and (e.) Available to work as shift worker or extensive hours.
  4. Basic description of duties: (a.) Monitor and advise SWO and battle staff on matters pertaining to the condition, utilization, communication security (COMSEC) and procedures of CIS equipment within the Op Center to include: - Secure Video Conference Network (SVCN); - Canadian Defence Red Switching Network (CDRSN, when it becomes available); - All classified and designated CIS; - Facsimile; - TSK Light (when it becomes available); and - Secure Telephony. (b.) Act as Signal supervisor during crisis within the Op Center for temporary tasked Signal personnel; (c.) Monitor and advise on COMSEC procedures and regulations within the Op Center to include briefing LO on the responsibility of handling classified equipment; (d.) Advise SWO and battle staff proper handling, distribution and routing procedures of classified material and messages within the Op Center; (e.) Act as an OpCen CSNI Administrator (less account creation privileges), first point of contact with 4 CDSG Signals Det Toronto; (f.) Act as loan holder of all COMSEC material within the Op Center; (g.) Monitor and advice OPSEC/INFOSEC and procedures regarding to CSNI and DWAN accounts; (h.) Signal liaison on behalf of SWO, Battle Watch and Battle Staff with 4CDSG Det Toronto such as movement of CIS equipment, change of CIS radio and IT configuration, develop and initiate on behalf of the Op Center RFC and RFS requests and secure video conferencing (SVCN) problems; (i.) Provide support with IT and RF projects coordination within Op Center and HQ. (j.) Supervise and administer RJOC sig support Staff; (k.) Coordinate with the HQ Sig O on tasks that pertains to the HQ, and projects that affects the RJOC; (l.) Provide 1st line CIS support to HQ Comd Cell and Branch Heads; (m.) Responsible for the management, 1st line support and 2nd line support of the 4 Cdn Div and JTFC LCS kits, RJOC deployable tactical and non-tactical radios, and liaison officer kits; (n.) Responsible for RJOC and SDA physical security; (o.) Responsible for the management of the JTFC operational DWAN and CSNI accounts, and issue of the JTFC deployable CIS equipment; (p.) Provide PKI LRA support to 4 Cdn Div JTFC HQ; (q.) 1st line Maintenance of the RJOC, MCR and Comd Cell A/V system; (r.) Management and maintenance of the Toronto RRB site and equipment; (s.) Assist staff in the booking of and connection to Secure and non-secure VTCs and teleconferences; (t.) Be prepared when called upon to assume responsibilities of OpCen WO; and (u.) Complete any other tasks given by the SWO or J/G3.
