  1. RCSU CENTRAL has a Class B Permanent for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 00232-13-CIC to commence on 01-AUG-2026 until 31-JUL-2029.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: 1. Undergraduate degree in related field or a combination of relevant post-secondary education, military and civilian qualifications and relevant experience in similar roles; 2. Experience in customer service; 3. Experience coordinating / conducting complex training activities; 4. Experience at a CTC at a minimum Lt(N) / Capt level; 5.Experience / training working with diverse cultural groups; 6. Understanding of the CIC training program; and 7. Previous Experience with Fortress.
  4. Basic description of duties: The Z Trg O is responsible for the provision of support to the Corps / Squadron located within their geographical support area and for the conduct of any tasking related to CCO Programs (i.e., RDA, NDA, CIC Trg). Duties include: 1 Provide coaching and support to Corps / Squadron COs / Trg Os to ensure high quality operations; 2. Advisor to Corps / Squadron CO; 3. Conduct staff assistance visits and report on Corps / Squadron performance indicators; 4. Advocate on behalf of Corps / Squadron to ensure the provision of necessary human, financial, and material resources for the administration and conduct of programs; 5. Coordinate / develop Corps / Squadron action plans; 6. Guide and assist succession planning for Corps / Squadron CO and Trg O appointments and liaise with J1 Personnel staff; 7. Coordinate OJT support to Corps / Squadron administrative and supply positions where appropriate; 8. Assist with the development of Corps / Squadron training plans (IAW CATO 11-03, QSPs, etc); 9. Nominate, prioritize, promote and assist with forecasting of CIC training opportunities; 10. Support / assist / conduct regionally directed activities (RDAs) and or nationally directed activities (NDAs) as tasked; 11. Encourage and support resolving issues with alternate dispute resolution techniques; 12. Maintain a strong partnership with local league representatives and participate in related consultative bodies as tasked; 13.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., J4 staff / support base personnel); 14. Assist with program / community outreach within geographical support area; 15. Submit and advocate for awards and recognition for deserving members of Corps / Squadron; 16. Recommend cadets for advanced training opportunities; and 17. Recommend administrative or disciplinary action for staff and cadets when necessary.   9. Remarks: A. This is a permanent Cl B position with a continued engagement for up to three years with the possibility of a three year extension. B. Position is geographically located at Connaught Ranges in Ontario. An alternate work arrangement will not be considered. C. The member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. Members within RCSU Central should email the REO OPI to request nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date. D. Upon nomination, applicants will be provided with an application form to submit to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs EST seven days after the REO closing date. The application form is designed to assist the applicant with concisely articulating how they have met the required experience and qualifications, and the secondary requirements of the REO. In addition to the application form, submissions shall include: 1) A cover letter and resume; and 2) No more than 5 documents that support their responses in the application form (e.g. performance evaluations, course reports, letters of recommendation, and awards). Members are not required to submit an MPRR as the J1 Employment section will generate one from Guardian, however members are encouraged to review their MPRR to ensure that it is accurate and up to date members can do this by submitting a VOR request. E. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval. F.
