- Basic description of duties: The DFCI 3-2, 3 Wing Fighter Transition Site Deputy Lead, provides the Director Fighter Capability Infrastructure (DFCI) an invaluable on-site resource to augment the Fighter Capability Office (FCO) in the management and implementation of F-35 related projects at 3 Wing Bagotville. Essentially a member of the forward deployed FCO Transition Team at 3 Wing, DFCI 3-2 directly assists the DCFI, through DFCI 3, the 3 Wing Fighter Transition Site Lead, with operational implementation and integration requirements as the Fighter Force and 3 Wing transitions through the latter stages of CF-18 operations and into the stand up and operational implementation of F-35 operations. The overall focus of DFCI 3-2 is to support the Transition Site Lead in the coordination of FCO related activities between FCO and 3 Wing, and to be prepared to act as the Transition Site Lead if required. In addition, DFCI 3-2 supports the Transition Site Lead with the broader integration of fighter capability with other stakeholders (especially PMO FFCP and PMO DCFI), elements and programmes of the Department of National Defence (DND) and other Government departments, to include issues management. The DFCI 3-2 may be employed remotely if required and as coordinated by FCO and other stakeholders.
