- Basic description of duties: The Chief of Staff is the senior coordinating officer of the Headquarters, responsible for translating the CO's intent into integrating command functions and outputs of the staff's executions. The COS directs and synchronizes the J staff, manages campaign and force employment effects, including the forward deployed Area Offices.

B. Position is established in Borden, ON, alternate work arrangements will be considered for Toronto, ON. Member will be required to do significant TD back and forth.
C. The member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. Members within RCSU Central should email the REO OPI to request nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date.
D. Applicants will have until 2359hrs in their own time zone on the day of close of competition to submit any supporting documents as well as their CV and Guardian MPRR.
E. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity: however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an option 1 bases with employment limitations on the numbers of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require addition approval.
F. In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements at ref H, the following are required as conditions of this reserve service and must be obtained prior to and maintained during the period of service:
