- Basic description of duties: The RCAF Air Staff Headquarters CWO Assistant provides essential administrative, logistical, and coordination support to the RCAF Air Staff CWO. The incumbent ensures the smooth daily functioning of the HQ by managing key office control systems, supporting ceremonial activities, maintaining governance over secure or sensitive items, and enabling effective communication between staff, visitors, and senior leadership.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the Air Staff HQ phone lock box, including control, accountability, and discrepancy reporting.
Oversee custody and distribution of Air Staff HQ office keys, ensuring proper tracking and security compliance.
Provide routine administrative support to the Air Staff CWO including document preparation and coordination.
Plan, coordinate, and execute honours and awards ceremonies IAW CAF/RCAF protocol; prepare citations, book venues, and manage post-event administration.
Manage the RCAF storage cage including inventory control, condition monitoring, and equipment tracking; liaise with supply/facilities as required.
Coordinate workplace organization, office moves, and workstation setups; manage minor facility requests and equipment transfers/turn-ins.
Support CWO-led meetings: develop agendas, record minutes, track action items, and ensure timely dissemination of directives.
