- Basic description of duties: GENERAL:
The Fin Ops WO reports to the CFSCE Fin O. Is responsible for oversight of the claims and financial management sections.
PRIMARY DUTIES
1. Timely processing of Travel Authority requests, as well as Claims and all related documents.
2. Supervisor in a mixed military and civilian environment
3. Act as Snr FSA for all FSA's of CFSCE; and
4. Be prepared to Act as Unit Fin Offr when incumbent is on leave
5. Advise CoC and CTC Fmn's Snr FSA on FSA personnel matters requiring career management oversight or impacting staffing levels of FSA posns;
6. Address and coordinate staffing issues promptly and ensure subordinates are adequately supported to perform their duties
7. Manage professional development and provide technical advice and guidance for all unit FSAs; Provide FSA trade awareness, modifications, and qualification advice;
8. Interpret policy, procedures and direction, and seek clarification from DCBA/ARC;
9. Liaise with the Career Managers from D MIL C as required for succession planning of FSA's and identifying capability/qualification gaps;
10. Mentor and provide financial professional development for all members of the unit in conjunction with the Unit PD plan;
11. Champion clear, effective communication across unit;
12. Promote a harassment free environment;
13. Being familiar with Lvl 3 Op Plan, understanding L4 Op Plans for financial implications.
14. Liaison with the D/Cmdt and Unit Fin Offr in the conduct of best business practices.
15. Ensuring clients and subordinate's issues are promptly and professionally resolved at all times;
16. Execution of subordinate's administration, ensuring the D/Cmdt and Fin offr is aware of arising issues. Supervise and direct the work of a combined Military and Civilian staff;
17. PACE and PSPM process for immediate subordinates and ensure the process is properly administered throughout the section;
18. Be well acquainted with the unique and diverse nature of business conducted at CFSCE and direct client's queries in the utmost professional matter;
19. Thorough understanding of DRMIS capabilities to ensure adequate oversight of financial activities and be prepared to conduct transactions during staff shortages;
20. Oversight of the management of Internal Orders (IO), Cost Centers (CC) and Control Frameworks;
21. Ensure all personnel in the section are prepared and capable of answering any query without discrepancy;
22. Facilitate financial training sessions to ensure financial implications are understood by all.
23. Conduct training sessions for budget administrators in accordance with FAM 1016-3 Expenditure Management;
24. Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) annually to ensure they are current and still relevant. Update and coordinate the creation of new SOPs as required;
25. Review section website, Share Point Online holdings and Teams channels for relevancy and is up to date on financial management and services information; and
26. Any other Financial duties as designated by the Cmdt, D/Cmdt or Unit Fin Offr
SECONDARY DUTIES
1. This posn is not expected to routinely fulfill secondary duties, however, incumbent shall maintain an open mind that such requests may present themselves when staff shortages occur. These would include unit and base routine duties as well as running unit level PT.

5. All members employed within the CADTC formation will complete a minimum annual Number of 10 full or 20 part training days, a minimum periodic attendance of one duty period of every 60 days, and minimum essential activities, including the administrative and training requirements of the PRV for domestic operations tier 1, part 1, the IBTS mandated for CBG HQs and all external to CBGs (all trades), and mandatory training as determined by the ATA.
6. Once an applicant has been selected, the home unit must complete C of C concurrence in Monitor Mass. Res F members employed by CADTC on full-time Res Svc for a period of one year or more shall be posted to the CADTC PRL. Exceptions to this direction may be considered for those Res F members who contribute to HU activities and training. Such exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis and shall be requested thru CoC to CADTC.
