  1. NATL CJCR Sp Gp HQ has a Class B Permanent for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 00232-13-CIC, or 00360-01-COATS-GS OFF to commence on 01-AUG-2026 until 31-JUL-2029.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Canadian Rangers, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

  4. Basic description of duties: The HQ Admin O is responsible for all personnel administrative transactions for CJCR Gp HQ staff and the direct supervisor of the Orderly Room staff. They are the HR advisor and are responsible for all administrative policies and procedures for the HQ. For HR-Civ matters, the HQ Admin O is responsible to the CO of the CJCR Gp HQ. - Provide SME advice on all administrative issues within CJCR Gp HQ; - Manage assigned financial resources, including procurement for HQ office requirements (ergonomics, office furniture/appliances), and HQ administrative and consumable budgets; - Act as the Military Pay Administration Officer (MPAO) for CJCR Gp HQ; - Communicate and provide recommendations to Orderly Room staff regarding tasks or requests; - Ensure all Orderly Room staff are properly trained for the duties they are completing; - Establish, monitor and adjust functional processes and procedures for unit administration; - Improve procedures and administrative practices; - Manage and control all administrative and personnel records and documents; - Supervise Orderly Room operations and oversee the preparation of all documents related to promotion, transfer, assignment, medical examination, pay, temporary service, absence and release for COATS, Reg F, P Res personnel, and civilian employees, as applicable; - Complete HR-Civ functions for the HQ civilian positions. In this role the HQ Admin O is responsible directly to the HQ CO; - Maintain CJCR Gp HQ Routine Orders; - Unit Security Officer for the CJCR Gp HQ; - Human Resources Coordinator for CJCR Gp HQ; - Guardian OPI; and - Monitor Mass OPI.

  9. Remarks: A. This is a permanent Cl B position with a continued engagement for a three year period. The applicant will be a Staff Officer within the Fmn HQ. Initially, they will be in the job of HQ Admin Officer, but can expect to be assigned to other tasks and potentially fill another role within the Fmn during their period of service. B. As per ref B, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date. Applicants must submit their supporting documents to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone on the closing date. C. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval. D.
