  1. RCSU NORTHWEST has a Class B Permanent for a Cpl/Cpl MOS ID/Occupation 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 00168-07-MAT MGT TECH, or 90000-ATR to commence on 01-JUN-2026 until 31-MAY-2029.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Regular Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.

    1. Rank: Cpl/Cpl
      IAW Ref A, applicants holding the substantive rank for the position and those who are one rank lower will be considered at the same time in the selection process. In accordance with CMP 20/04 individuals holding the substantive rank of the position being advertised, and who meet the minimum level of qualifications for the position, shall be selected before an individual of lower rank. If no suitable candidate can be selected of equal or lower rank, applicants whose substantive rank is one higher may be considered (and would be required to relinquish rank to that of the position for the duration of the employment).
    2. MOS ID: 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 00168-07-MAT MGT TECH, or 90000-ATR
      Applicants with other MOS ID may be considered with a demonstration of skills, qualifications and experience relevant to this position. A PLAR may be required prior to the commencement of service. If the applicant is currently serving with Reg F or a member of the Supp Res, a transfer to COATS is required. If the applicant is a member of the PRes, a transfer to COATS / PRL may be required pending confirmation from the member's chain of command.

  4. Basic description of duties: The Supply Tech is responsible to the Warehouse Supervisor and maintains administrative files, manages correspondence and provides administrative support to warehouse staff. They assist in the provision of logistical support to all Cadet and COATS training in their assigned geographical area. PRIMARY DUTIES:
    A. Acquiring a full and complete understanding of the supply requirements to support the Cadet and COATS training programs;
    B. Receiving, issuing, delivering, recovering, maintaining, conditioning, and storing materiel;
    C. Assisting the Warehouse Supervisor in ensuring assigned Supply Customer Accounts are managed and maintained in accordance with Departmental orders, policies, and procedures;
    D. Ensuring that all unserviceable materiel is replaced or repaired;
    E. Evaluating all demands for materiel and taking the necessary action for procurement as required;
    F. Managing Cadet Corps/Squadron clothing accounts with Logistik Unicorp;
    G. Verifying weapon and ammunitions inventories held on Supply Customer Accounts;
    H. Assisting in developing and monitoring material life cycle management plans; I. Assisting with developing SCDs, IPRLs, UCRs, and Equipment Procurement Priority Lists; J. Assisting with managing assigned budgets; K. Ensuring goods and services are delivered in accordance with contracted terms and conditions; L. Identifying and managing all regional materiel requirements; M. Assisting with the establishment of procedural and functional processes to improve logistical support to all training programs; N. Ensuring all allocated funds are expended in accordance with Departmental directives, policies and orders; O. Producing supply reports, statistical returns and equipment reports as required; and P. Providing input into the RCSU Business Plan.

  9. Remarks: ACTUAL EMPLOYMENT LOCATION IS REGINA A. This is a permanent Class B position with initial continued engagement for a three year period IAW Ref A. Continued Class B service up to six years as per Ref A will be possible based upon authorization of the approval authority, acceptable performance and organizational requirements. B. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass a minimum of 48 hours prior to the competition closing date. Supporting documents must be received by the REO OPI no later than 2359 Central Standard Time on the closing date. C. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This permanent position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified COATS or Primary Reserve non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 contract basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Annuitant employment periods shall not exceed three years in the position at which time the position must be posted for competition through REO.
