Secondary requirements of position, as applic: Min two (2) years experience Instructior Gunnery Experience on in-service armoured platforms (LAV, ACSV, TAPV, Leo, Bison, TLAV) Experience on in-service vehicle mounted weapon systems (Leo. TAPV, ACSV, LAV, Bison, TLAV) Experience with/involvement with Major Capital Projects implementation-fielding/In-service fleet management Experience with ACIMS, MS Office Suites Experience working for or with senior management (public or private) is an asset Project Approval Course (PAC) (desirable)
  4. Basic description of duties: Summary. the primary responsibility of this position is to act as an Armoured Vehicle Project Director and Fleet Manager. They are a primary staff officer responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of assigned major and minor capital projects, as well as the performance of general staff duties in support of DLR activities. Member will be responsible for the fleet management (fielding and tactical to operational outlook) and the coordination of daily operations of their platform. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Coordinate and direct the work on CA projects throughout the project life cycle from pre-identification to project close out. 2. Produce timely and accurate staffing, to include required project documentation as directed by the Project Approval Directive and any other staff duties as directed. 3. Ensure that this documentation is accurate and available as required on associated departmental databases (ex. DSP P, CIPPR, DRIMS, etc). 4. Be a subject matter expert on assigned projects, to include awareness of associated technologies, capabilities, and cocepts. Provide sound advice to the SH and the wider chain of command regarding opportunities and challenges. 5. Collaborate with external stakeholders within the department and within industry. Monitor national and international developments in the idetified equipment areas to ensure that stated requirements adequately reflect current technology and the projected imprvemnets in technology. 6. Be prepared to coordinate fielding of equipment and assist in the coordination of integrated ligistics support to projects. 7. Be prepared to coordinate various project related trials and associated activities. 8. Be prepared to conduct unit administration, to include but not limited to CFTPO management, travel plans, etc. 9. Represent CA operational requiremnets in applicable departmental working groups as required. 10. Be prepared to supervise subordinate DPD and Trials NCOs as required. 11. Complete all CAF/DND as well as CA HQ mandatory training and remain current on IBTS requirements as applicable.
