  1. 5 Cdn Div TC has a Class B Permanent for a Lt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 90027-CBT ARMS - OFFR to commence on 22-MAY-2026 until 21-MAY-2029.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    A. All qualifications, certifications, and training required for this position must be completed or updated for currency within 60 days of hiring. Lack of current and valid qualifications/training will result in employment termination. Qualifications and/or certifications: MJUL, PaCE modules 1-3;
    B. Preference will be given to applicants with: experience instructing DP1, DP2, and/or leadership training; familiar with AITIS;
    C. The work environment includes field and garrison, as well as working in other geographic areas for limited periods. Training plans require Training Centre personnel to conduct occasional overnight duty in both field and garrison environments as well as occasional evening and weekend duties. During the conduct of courses, will lead PT, generally beginning at 0500 hrs. Between courses, the general work schedule will be 0800 - 1600 hrs;

  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Adhere to the CO's and higher commander's intent, maintaining alignment with organizational priorities, principles, and policies;
    B. Support the chain of command by executing orders promptly and accurately;
    C. Lead, mentor, and supervise staff, candidates, and support personnel during training in fitness, field, garrison, and distance learning environments;
    D. Plan, coordinate, and execute training in accordance with Qualification Standards (QS), Training Plans (TP), orders, and directives;
    E. Oversee and manage all administrative, disciplinary, and welfare matters within assigned courses;
    F. Assess candidate performance, provide guidance, and maintain accurate documentation;
    G. Prepare course reports, after-action reviews, and maintain training records;
    H. Communicate progress, issues, and recommendations to higher command in a timely manner; I. Coordinate resources (instructors, facilities, equipment) to ensure effective and efficient training delivery; J. Represent the company in coordination with other elements of 5 CDTC to synchronize training efforts; K. Demonstrate and enforce high standards of discipline, dress, deportment, and professionalism at all times; L. Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to meet operational requirements; M. Ensure compliance with CAF doctrine, safety regulations, and accreditation standards; N. Act as the primary point of contact for all course-level instructional and operational matters; O. Implement safety protocols and conduct risk assessments for all training activities; and, P. Be prepared to assume and execute the duties of the Company 2IC, Admin O, or other positions as required by the chain of command.
