- Secondary requirements of position, as applic: Desirable to have experience, qualifications and familiarization with:
a) Proficiency with Military Individual Training and Education (MITE) processes.
b) Experience of Guardian roles and processes;
c) Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
d) Knowledge of RCAF training and professional development (PD) requirements, including core PD and specialized training.
e) Proficiency in interpreting and applying Canadian Armed Forces personnel policies and financial policies such as DAODs, CFAOs, AFOs and CADOs;
f) Familiarity with Officer and NCM General Specifications (OGS and NCMGS);
g) Experience in the application of CFITES and AFTEMS to ensuring compliance to training and qualification standards.
- Basic description of duties: The Specialized Training Coordinator is a nonsupervisory role responsible to provide support to RCAF specialized training and emerging requirements staff and QMs in accordance with CFITES/AFTEMS processes. The incumbent will coordinate training processes, liaise with HQ staff, and perform associated MITE and Guardian functions. Key duties include responding to training queries, drafting convening orders, managing qualification standards reviews, analyzing data for recommendations, and supporting PLAR applications.
Working unsupervised to be able to perform the fol tasks:
a. Provide support to RCAF Training Establishments (TEs) for specialized training or emerging requirements, including administrative or training issues;
b. Liaise with HQ staff including TS&I and AF Trg, as necessary;
c. Execute associated MITE and Guardian functions as required;
d. Respond to daily queries regarding specialized and emerging requirements training, including monitoring shared email inboxes;
e. Provide support to section QMs including formatting of draft QS documentation following QSWB (QS Writing Boards), QSAR (QS Administrative Reviews), and other related activities;
f. Draft convening orders for QSWB (QS Writing Boards), QSAR (QS Administrative Reviews), and other activities as required;
g. Staff MESCRs for NQual activation or deactivation;
h. Request MITE codes following new QS approvals;
i. Manage Directorate 5 yr QS review forecast for all core PD, specialized training and emerging requirements;
j. Conduct analysis and develop recommendations based on relevant data from Monitor Mass, AFTEMS, D Mil C, D Air Res, D Air Pers Mgt and other sources;
k. Coordinate and manage PLAR applications for specialized training courses and provide recommendations to QM; and
l. Provide input to financial quarterly returns and business planning activities
m. Active involvement in the review and development of RCAF specialized training and emerging requirements as well as directorate PD rationalization, as required; and,
n. Assist directorate staff on problem definition, options analysis and other tasks as assigned for NCM aspects of specialized training and emerging requirements; and
o. Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
