  1. 5 CRPG has a Class B Permanent for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 90000-ATR to commence on 18-MAY-2026 until 17-MAY-2029.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

    1. Rank: Sgt/Sgt
      IAW ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available. If one rank higher is the only suitable applicant, mbr may be required to relinquish their rank for the period of employment.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: The following would be considered assets:
    A. Have classroom and field instruction experience;
    B. Completion of the Financial Sect 32 & 34, Contracting Direct with Trade and Green Procurement Courses;
    C. Be proficient with a Map, Compass, and GPS;
    D. Be familiar with the C19 Rifle;
    E. Be proficient with CAF weapons suite and conduct of a CAF Small Arms Range;
    F. Have experience with ATV, LOSV, and small boat;
    G. Background in outdoor activities such as hiking, hunting, and fishing;
    H. Involvement with youth groups; and, I. CFTPO and MITE.
  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Coordination, conduct, and supervision of operational tasks and domestic operations;
    B. Coordination, conduct, and supervision of Canadian Ranger and Junior Canadian Ranger mandated, enhanced training and other training or events;
    C. Professional development training as directed to include continuation of leadership and advanced training necessary for career advancement as well as enhance unit capabilities to support operations and training;
    D. Completion of personnel, patrol, and group administration in support of all CR and JCR patrols or tasks;
    E. Employed as CR or JCR instr; and,
    F. Other duties and tasks as assigned.
