- Basic description of duties: 1. The Detachment Liaison Officer (Det Ops O NU) supports the Detachment Commander Nunavut (Det NU Comd) by assisting with liaison, coordination, and integration of Joint Task Force (North) activities within Nunavut. This position is subordinate to the Det NU Comd and does not replace the Commander's lead role in engagement and coordination.
2. This amalgamated position is established on an interim basis to perform a combination of duties normally assigned to the Detachment Liaison Officer and the Detachment Warrant Officer while those positions are vacant. The Det Ops O NU provides continuity of day-to-day operations, administrative oversight, and liaison support under the direction of the Det NU Comd, ensuring effective detachment functioning and mission support.
