- Basic description of duties:
A. Adhere to the CO's and higher commander's intent, maintaining alignment with organizational priorities, principles, and policies;
B. Ensure compliance with CAF doctrine, safety regulations, and accreditation standards;
C. Demonstrate and enforce high standards of discipline, dress, deportment, and professionalism at all times;
D. Lead, mentor, and supervise standards staff;
E. Evaluate the conduct of IT to include:
(1) Audit instruction to confirm content, materials, and delivery are in accordance with the TP and that quality of instruction conforms with CA standards;
(2) Ensure all IT is conducted in accordance with approved policies and procedures including the monitoring of learner progress, counselling procedures, and maintenance of student files;
(3) Audit the conduct of learner assessments;
(4) Participate and analyse feedback from the ECR/ECC process; and,
(5) Participate in the evaluation of instructional programmes.
F. Report to CO 5 CDTC, CI and CADSO on all issues pertaining to the development, implementation and maintenance of CA IT policies and procedures;
G. Assisting 5 CDTC with the planning and preparation of IT;
H. Confirm that current course documentation (QS/TP/MLPs and Courseware) is available on AITIS/SPO and is being followed;
I. Conduct / coordinate IST for all unit staff; and,
J. Translates higher-level direction (QR&O/DAOD/CANFORGEN/formation orders) into clear local SOPs and guidance.
