  1. 431 (AD) SQN has a Class A for a Maj/Maj MOS ID/Occupation 00183-01-PLT, or 00183-05-PLT to commence on 30-APR-2026 until 28-APR-2036.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Regular Force, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.

      Previous Snowbirds flying experience and familiarity with public engagement. Supervisory experience essential. Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills. Military Human Resource Management experience would be an asset. Extensive Military Writing Experience including staff writing of SOPs and Directives Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications Proficient with production of command reporting including analytics via Microsoft Teams would be an asset

Basic description of duties: Execute complex aerial maneuvers in accordance with established rules and regulations; Maintain personal and team readiness through continuous training, proficiency checks, and adherence to operational standards; Assist with post-flight analysis to support continuous improvement and safety assurance; Provide input into the development and refinement of show routines, including maneuver selection and formation changes; Liaise with airshow organizers, air traffic control, and support organizations to ensure seamless execution of events; Contribute to operational risk management and mitigation strategies; Participate in community outreach activities such as school visits, media interviews, and ceremonial events; Act as an ambassador for the Canadian Armed Forces, promoting recruitment and public support; As a senior officer on the team, provide mentorship and instruction to junior team members through coaching, feedback, and leadership, thereby contributing to a positive team culture and operational discipline.
