  4. Basic description of duties: The Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC) is the Canadian Army School that delivers all national calendar courses in Arctic operations, mountain operations, helicopter insertion, aerial delivery, basic helicopter operations, LZ/DZ control, Patrol Pathfinder operations and parachute skills. PRIMARY DUTIES 1. Assist in the command, administration and training of courses and more precisely be responsible for the candidates in their course, as directed by their course officer; 2. Assist in command, administration and staffing of Para Platoon; 3. BPT assume the duties of the Course Officer by understanding their role and responsibilities; 4. Deliver Course Standards Brief; 5. Supervise the conduct of Instructor Standardization Training prior to courses; 6. Prepare/Staff/Submit TSR's in a timely manner to ensure resourcing of courses; 7. Prepare lesson plans and instruction in those subjects if required; 8. BPT assist in the assessment of all candidates in their performance and provide accurate/concise feedback; 9. Give tutorial assistance/provide feedback to instructors on their performance; 10. Attend & provide input into End Course Reviews and Company Orders Groups; 11. Attend & provide input/feedback during QS/TP writing boards with CAAWC Standards; 12. Maintain a Platoon duty roster when required; 13. Maintain an accurate list of all 4Pl Stores; and 14. Be responsive to CSM on matters of drill and administration. Experience: 1. Experience as an instructor on Para courses (i.e. BPara, JM, PI) are considered an asset; 2. Experience in the position of Pl 2IC; 3. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint) 4. Experience as an instructor on any individual training course; and 5. Familiarity with all relevant Parachuting QSTPs. SECONDARY DUTIES : 1. BPT Assume the role and responsibilities of CSM in their absence; and 2. Any further duties as directed by the Chain of Command.

Members selected for an interview will be evaluated by way of a standardized questionnaire, which incorporates a weighted score which is used in order to facilitate objective candidate evaluation. All members employed within the CADTC formation will complete a minimum annual Number of 10 full or 20 part training days, a minimum periodic attendance of one duty period of every 60 days, and minimum essential activities, including the administrative and training requirements of the PRV for domestic operations tier 1, part 1, the IBTS mandated for CBG HQs and all external to CBGs (all trades), and mandatory training as determined by the ATA. 6. Once an applicant has been selected, the home unit must complete C of C concurrence in Monitor Mass. Res F members employed by CADTC on full-time Res Svc for a period of one year or more shall be posted to the CADTC PRL. Exceptions to this direction may be considered for those Res F members who contribute to HU activities and training. Such exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis and shall be requested thru CoC to CADTC.
