  4. Basic description of duties: The RCSU Regional CWO (RCWO) is designated a Tactical Post Unit Leadership Team CWO. The incumbent is the principal staff non-commissioned member of the RCSU and is a key member of the command team. The RCWO, through formal training and personal experience provides both tactical and strategic advice to the Regional Commander on all aspects of program delivery and personnel management as well as dress, drill and deportment in the region. They are responsible to advise on professional development of NCMs and Junior Officers within the Region. 1. Oversee / advise on the maintenance of order and discipline for all Regional CAF members; 2. Be responsive to the CJCR Gp Formation CWO and liaise with fellow RCSU RCWOs regularly; 3. Perform outreach / actively maintain networks with environmental CPO1s / CWOs and / or those of HQs / support bases within the assigned AOR; 4. Establish / maintain networks and provide mentorship Sr NCMs and Junior Officers appointed to CTCs, on CIC training courses and at Cadet Corps / Squadrons (including Reg F, P Res, COATS and Cadets); 5. Lead / contribute to applicable governance bodies paying particular attention to League relationships; 6. Provide advice on personnel matters related to postings, appointments, promotions, releases, leave administration, remedial measures, grievances, etc. (within the scope of delegated authority); 7. Maintain situational awareness as to understand how the CJCR Gp fits / impacts the larger CAF; 8. Assist with the planning / conduct of training for CIC Officers within the RCSU (DP1/2 level training) / in conjunction with the CJCR Gp HQ (DP3 level training); 9. Assist with the planning / conduct of CTC operations as required; 10. Assist with the planning / conduct of Nationally Directed Activities / Regionally Directed Activities taskings as required; and 11. Conduct or supervise Unit Disciplinary Investigations.

  9. Remarks: A. This is a permanent Cl B position with a continued engagement for a three year period. B. Despite the initial closing date listed on the REO, nominations will continue to be accepted until 16 February 2026. Applicants must be nominated for the REO by their home unit in either Monitor Mass or by contacting the REO OPI. Applicants may submit their nomination package directly to the REO OPI, via their Chain of Command. C. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date. Applicants must submit their supporting documents to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone on the closing date D. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval. E. Applicants must submit a covering letter outlining their experience, motivation and suitability for the position, confirming if the candidate is or will be an annuitant under CFSA. The package shall include an MPRR, a resume (civilian as applicable) and a letter of recommendation from the member's chain of command, at the CO level or higher.
