  4. Basic description of duties: The incumbent will be responsible for the following main tasks (attraction and processing):
    A. Participate directly in the unit attraction plan;
    B. Support the Class A attraction team in their attraction activities and information session;
    C. Manage applicant files;
    D. Receive applications from prospective applicants ensuring that they are duly completed and that prospective applicants meet the basic eligibility requirements;
    E. Obtain all required basic documents that are not yet electronically filed by the applicant;
    F. Transmit documents concerning eligible applicants and carry out the appropriate follow-up;
    G. Maintain contact with applicants to ensure they attend all necessary production appointments;
    H. If qualified, assist in conducting NCM Selection Interviews, FORCE Evaluations and CF Aptitude Tests for local applicants; I. Manage applicant data files and file processing through CFRIMS 2 and hard copy to ensure completeness; J. Perform personal information processing and reference checks, including reliability and security pre-assessment through WEBSTAS online, telephone and email; K. Prepare past service verification, past service calculations and valuations for submission using applicable forms and templates, as required; And L. Prepare and present reports. The incumbent will be required to perform the following secondary duties (enlistment): A. Carry out the enrollment when the candidate file has been approved; B. Following the swearing in and enrollment of applicants, ensure that all necessary administrative formalities are finalized; And C. Prepare and present reports.

Statement on the Engagement of CFSA Part I Annuitants: The Management Framework issued at VCDS 5323-1 (DGRC) 6 March 2012, which remains in force at this time, affords that annuitants in receipt of pension benefits under the CFSA Part I who endeavor to undertake a period of Reserve Force service in fulfillment of a requirement anticipated to last longer than one year shall rejoin and recontribute to the CFSA Part I under the terms of "Option 2" at para 2.13 of CMP instr 20/04. This is the guiding principle on which an AFC decision was based and promulgated by the CDS at 5323-1 (D Res) 5 Mar 2012. Notwithstanding this guiding principle, certain circumstances may exist where an application may be made to VCDS requesting an exception which would permit engagement of a CFSA Part I annuitant under the terms of "Option 1" (maximum 330 days in any 365 day period).
