  1. RCSU NORTHWEST has a Class B Permanent for a Cpl/Cpl MOS ID/Occupation 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 00168-01-SUP TECH, or 90000-ATR to commence on 31-JAN-2026 until 01-FEB-2029.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force, Canadian Rangers.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Cpl/Cpl
      IAW ref A, applicants holding the substantive rank for the position, those who are one rank lower, and those who are one rank higher will be considered at the same time in the selection process. A position may be over or under-ranked by one rank and shall only be used in those exceptional cases where no other qualified candidate is available. Members who are over-ranked may be required to voluntarily relinquish their rank in order to be considered for the position. Additional rank considerations are outlined in ref B.
    2. MOS ID: 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 00168-01-SUP TECH, or 90000-ATR
      IAW refs B and C, in the absence of a qualified COATS member, a Primary Reserve Force member may be offered the position wherein the member shall sub-component transfer to COATS, be posted to the NDHQ PRL, or attach post from their home unit under the administartion of DRSM. DRSM approval is required prior to commencement of the period of employment. In the absence of a qualified COATS and Primary Reserve Force member, a Regular Force Member may be offerred the position and shall component transfer to COATS.

      Courses:
      Quals: Applicants shall demonstrate through provision of suitable documentation that they meet the following essential skills, knowledge, experience and qualification screening requirements:
      1. Experience working in a supply warehouse;
      2. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite;
      3. QL5A Supply Tech and/or relatable experience or qualifications;
      4. WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Management Information System) trained;
      5. Enhanced interpersonal skills; and
      6. Competent written and verbal communication skills.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: Of the applicants meeting the essential requirements ref para 2G, further consideration will be given to those applicants demonstrating the following desired skills, knowledge and qualifications:
    A. Prior experience working in support of the CCO; and
    B. Working knowledge of DRIMIS, AIMS and Logistik Unicorp.
  4. Basic description of duties: The J4 Supply Tech is responsible to the J4 Warehouse Supervisor and maintains administrative files, manages correspondence, and provides administrative support to the Warehouse staff. They assist in the provision of logistical support to all cadet and CIC training in their assigned geographical area. Duties include, but are not limited to:
    A. Acquiring a full and complete understanding of the supply requirements to support the cadet and CIC training programs;
    B. Receiving, issuing, delivering, recovering, maintaining, conditioning, and storing material;
    C. Assisting the Warehouse Supervisor in ensuring assigned Supply Customer Accounts are managed and maintained in accordance with Departmental orders, policies, and procedures;
    D. Ensuring that all unserviceable material is replaced or repaired;
    E. Evaluating all demands for material and taking the necessary action for procurement as required;
    F. Managing cadet corps clothing accounts with Logistik Unicorp;
    G. Verifying weapon and ammunitions held on Supply Customer Accounts;
    H. Assisting in developing and monitoring material life cycle management plans; I. Assisting with developing SCDs, IPRLs, UCRs, and Equipment Procurement Priority Lists; J. Assisting with managing assigned budgets; K. Ensuring goods and services are delivered in accordance with contracted terms and conditions; L. Identifying and managing all regional material requirements; M. Assisting with the establishment of procedural and functional processes to improve logistical support to all training programs; N. Ensuring all allocated funds are expended in accordance with Departmental directives, policies, and orders; O. Producing supply reports, statistical returns, and equipment reports as required; and P. Providing input into the RCSU Business Plan.

  9. Remarks: A. This is a permanent Class B position with initial continued engagement for a three year period IAW Ref A. Per ref A, continued Class B service up to six years may be possible based upon authorization of the approval authority, acceptable performance and organizational requirements. B. This position in not a remote work opportunity. C. Per paragraph 7.1 of reference B, the Employing Authority (CO RCSU NW), in combination with the Selection Board's Recommendation and priority selection factors, may elect to prioritize the hire of qualified applicants residing within the "place of duty" as defined in reference D based on availability of funding. D. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass a minimum of 48 hours prior to the competition closing date. Supporting documents must be received by the REO OPI no later than 2359 Pacific standard-time on the closing date. E. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This permanent position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified COATS or Primary Reserve non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 contract basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Annuitant employment periods shall not exceed three years in the position at which time the position must be posted for competition through REO. F.
