      a. Working knowledge of RCN and RCAF operational structure including Shearwater Air Ops; b. Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, databases), and MCOIN Msg Drafter; c. Able to run an Ops Centre or Watch Floor, including supervision of medium size groups; d. Effectively respond and coordinate emergency situations; e. Utilize Military Writing styles for official correspondence, orders and reports; f. Able to operate military radios and speak with air and ground stations; and g. Hold or able to hold a Secret or Top Secret clearance.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: a. Intermediate MS Office Suite (Excel and Outlook) skills; b. Working knowledge of Video teleconferencing in the CAF / RCAF; c. Preparation and delivery of operations briefings to senior officers and staff; d. Effectively create and edit Military documents; e. Coordination of agencies associated with Wing Ops, i.e. Fueling, TEME, Fire Services, etc; f. Flexibility to work shift work; and g. Unit level secondary duties.
  4. Basic description of duties: The position of 12 Wing WOC Director exists to co-ordinate and manage the efforts of the 12 Wing Operations Centre (WOC). The Director is responsible to the Wing Operations Officer for the day-to-day operations of 12 Wing, including monitoring and providing support to all 12 Wing units; in particular 406 (M)OTS, HOTEF, 423 (MH) Sqn and 443 (MH) Sqn and deployed, embarked, transient and visiting aircraft and crew.
