  1. CHIEF OF RESERVES has a Class B Permanent for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 90024-GSO to commence on 15-DEC-2025 until 14-DEC-2028.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    A. Experience in a formation Headquarters environment.
    B. Experience developing and/or updating standard operating procedures, templates or operational plans.
    C. Experience drafting and editing communications products, including articles and social media content.
    D. Experience contributing to communications campaigns, ideally in a Primary Reserve environment.
  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Become familiar with, and provide advice about, Employer Support (ES) programs and tools offered through the Directorate Employer Support Programmes (D ES Progs).
    B. Contribute to development and execution of D ES Progs internal-engagement plan, which is focused on enabling reservists' self-advocacy and advising Reserve chains-of-command on ES.
    C. Advise and enable members of the ES Network as they communicate with reservists about ES programs and tools (e.g., ES Liaison Officers, Unit ES Representatives, Reserve chains-of-command and civilian volunteers of the Canadian Forces Liaison Council [CFLC]). This can include the development or editing of templates or written products.
    D. Develop, or coordinate the development of, ES content for internal or external communication channels (e.g., articles, social media copy).
    E. Oversee delivery of CAF ES Recognition Program by receiving and evaluating Recognition nominations, liaising with ES Liaison Officers and reservists, managing the production and distribution of Recognition certificates, and tracking certificate presentations.
    F. Facilitate support to individual reservists from the ES Network by receiving assistance requests, liaising with ES Liaison Officers and reservists, and tracking file progression.
    G. Participate in budget management and maintain awareness of business planning processes.
    H. Manage contracts and administration as required. I. Track D ES Progs activities and evaluation metrics as required. J. Perform other primary and secondary duties as assigned.
