  1. 21 EW Regt has a Class B Temporary for a MCpl/MCpl MOS ID/Occupation 00383-01-SIG OP to commence on 22-OCT-2025 until 14-JUL-2027.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: MCpl/MCpl
      IAW ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available. If one rank higher is the only suitable applicant, mbr may be required to relinquish their rank for the period of employment.

Ensure loyalty & dedication by balancing organizational & personal needs; M. Maintain a high standard of physical fitness; and N. Deploy to the field and on overseas CAF operations.
  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Advise the Tp HQ on the repair, maintenance, and operation of comms assets;
    B. Oversee correct operation, maintenance, and repair of all regimental radio equipment including correct record keeping and procedural activity;
    C. Coordinate equipment availability and management for planned contingent and task;
    D. Liaise with the Regt Chief Comm Op and COMSEC for request of frequency and crypto;
    E. Organize monthly testing of comms equipment with the troop;
    F. Be the SME for all radio equipment and advise the troop on proper comms procedures; and
    G. Support regimental, squadron, and troop level garrison and field training exercises.
