  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: Preferred qualification: PLQ Asset Skills: Class A-1 DND 404; Familiarity with PC and associated Microsoft programs; and Experience in Training Establishment desirable. *Applicants who do not meet the language requirements of the position may be considered. However, priority will be given to those applicants who meet the language requirements of the position.
  4. Basic description of duties:
    A.Oversee the daily conduct of CFSME OST courses at NSCC Akerley Campus or other locations as required.
    B.Act as the Course Administrator (Course NCO) for up to 3 concurrent CFSME OST courses without other on-site NCO support.
    C.Liaise closely with CFSME Construction Engineering Training Squadron (CETS) and Standards and Training Development Squadron representatives as applicable to ensure that the training needs of CFSME OST courses are being met. This includes course NCOs located at CFSM

    D.Follow and enforce CFSME directives on PT, INDOC and any other initiatives. E.Supervise students in their daily routines in the quarters and at NSCC. This includes regular inspection of kit and quarters and the assignment of tasks to foster teamwork and esprit-de-corps and prepare them for the Commandant's inspection.
    F.Provide appropriate mentoring/coaching and corrective feedback to ensure students are upholding acceptable CAF standards of dress and deportment. Prepare and submit all applicable paperwork.
    G.Supervise and participate in (lead) physical training (PT) of OST students. Liaise with 12 Wing Shearwater PSP Staff to schedule PSP-led PT sessions as indicated in the course PT plan.
    H.Conduct routine monitoring of CE course delivery and report on any issues related to content, quality, resource deficiencies, timings, etc. I.Support CFSME staff site visits as the local point of contact, as required. J.Arrange and/or provide all necessary logistical and administrative support to OST courses including but not limited to: clothing stores; medical and dental appointments; box lunches (when hot meals not available from NSCC); personnel administration services; transportation of students or tool kits to/from CFSME as required; and IT support. K.Ensure the proper completion/submission/record-keeping of all student/course-related admin including but not limited to: incident sheets (red/blue chits); counselling sheets; leave passes; missed time records; student memos; medical chits; monthly student assessments; weekly course SITREP; CF98s and DND663s; vehicle trip tickets; hot meal chits; occupational health and safety or environmental paperwork; and NSCC billable hours such as instructor overtime/tutoring. L.Liaise with NSCC civilian staff as required. M.Act in the capacity of OST Environmental and Safety Officer. N.Provide goods receipt confirmation for vehicles, meals and other expenses in support of payment verification. Plan annual leave accordingly to allow for proper rest while OST courses continue to be supported. O.Visit CFSME at CFB Gagetown on TD occasionally as required. P.Other duties as required.
