  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    A. Strong knowledge of the Canadian Rangers sub-component;
    B. Strong awareness and understanding of DND/CAF organizations;
    C. Strong awareness of the CA internal structures and processes, including the operational planning process;
    D. Strong verbal and written communications skills, including clarity, credibility, and impact;
    E. Ability to work independently without supervision.
    F. Ability to work as part of a team (i.e. participating in working groups);
    G. Ability to work in a high-paced, complex, dynamic environment with partners from various organizations and backgrounds;
    H. Ability to think critically, solve problems, synthesize information from multiple sources and develop solutions to complex problems; I. Experience as a Staff Officer in a national (L0/L1) or formation (L2/L3) headquarters or equivalent; J. Experience in providing advice to managers (LCol and above or equivalent); AND K. Experience in project management and/or application of project management principles and practices.
  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Accountable to Dir Canadian Ranger (DCR), under CA COS A Strategy, for the progress and monitoring of all Canadian Rangers Enhancement (CRE) ongoing initiatives, such as (but not limited to): 1. The Canadian Ranger (CR) MES within CMP/DPGR; 2. The CR LC5ISR plan within DDACSI; 3. The CR distinctive uniform project within DLR; 4. The CR Infrastructure initiative within DLI, RP Ops and ADM (IE); 5. The CR Doctrine and BTS within CADTC; 6. The CR Force employment guidance's & directives within CJOC; and 7. Various L0/L1 strategic and operational documents pertaining to defining CR strategic goals and operational requirements.
    B. Assist various L0/L1 organizations in developing and implementing adapted solutions in support to CRE efforts;
    C. Represent the CR Corps within the Canadian Army Modernization Strategy and ensure that CR alignment & coherence with modernization efforts;
    D. Assist other DCR desks in the development of policies, methodologies, practices, procedures and guidelines to help the institutionalization and professionalization of the CR Corps;
    E. Provide reports, presentations, briefing notes and other documents to provide a CR/CRE perspectives and educate stakeholders;
    F. Provide accurate and timely information, advice and respond to queries on CR to inform stakeholders and facilitate decision-making; and
    G. Performing other duties as assigned by the DCR.
