  1. RCSU EASTERN has a Class B Permanent for a Cpl/Cpl MOS ID/Occupation 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 90000-ATR to commence on 01-JUL-2025 until 30-JUN-2028.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

      Applicants whose substantive rank is one rank lower may apply. Applicants whose substantive rank is one rank higher may apply but, if selected, they may have to voluntarily relinquish their rank for the one indicated for the position.
    2. MOS ID: 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 90000-ATR
      In the absence of a qualified COATS member, a member of another component may be considered for the position with the condition that the member completes a component transfer to COATS. Limited options for a member to remain with the Primary Reserve may be possible.

    7. Required experience and quals:
      Courses:
      Quals: Prior to taking up their duties, the candidate must meet the security requirements applicable to members serving with the Canadian Cadet Program, including obtaining the appropriate security clearance, the Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening (PRC / VSS). Any employment offer will be conditional on the certification that the chosen candidate meets the required security standards. In accordance with the Military Human Resources Records Procedures (MHRRP), the member's home unit will be contacted to ensure that the member has no administrative or disciplinary action pending against him.
      Competency Remarks:
      (1) Working knowledge of FAA Sec 32, 33 and 34. (2) Working knowledge of PWGSC procurement process. (3) Working knowledge of DRIMIS. (4) Enhanced interpersonal skills. (5) Competent written and verbal communication skills.

  4. Basic description of duties: (A) Maintain currency in all required financial management training. (B) Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services. (C) Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures. (D) Prepare batches of invoices for data entry into DRIMIS. (E) Data enter invoices for payment into DRIMIS. (F) Maintain listing of accounts payable. (G) Maintain applicable data in DRIMIS. (H) Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers. (I) Print and distribute monthly financial reports as required.

Applicants must submit an application package including, at least : cover letter, resume, table of essential requirements and qualifications (paragraph 2G), 3 letters of recommendation and/or last 3 adult staff performance evaluation (ASPE). This is a permanent Class B for 3 years position with possibility of extension up to 3 years in accordance with Ref D. The applicant will be a staff member of RCSU Eastern. Initially, he/she will occupy the position of J8 FIN SVC Spec. (Accounts Payables), but can expect to be assigned other duties as directed by his/her supervisor. e. The member is responsible for contacting his/her home unit to request an REO appointment. The unit must ensure that the member has no outstanding administrative or disciplinary actions on file prior to appointment. f. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This permanent position is advertised as an Option 1 or Option 2 reserve employment opportunity; however, preference will be given to properly qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a properly qualified COATS or primary reserve member, regular force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 contract basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. The annuitant's periods of employment shall not exceed three years in the position to which the position is to be posted for competition through the REO. g.
