  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Act as Second-in-Command of the Detachment;
    B. Act as CO in their absence;
    C. Keep the CO informed of all events, activities, issues and concerns in a timely manner;
    D. Ensure commands and instructions of the CO are delivered in a timely manner and followed;
    E. Serve as a resource to the CO and Staff, and assist the CO in Command and Control;
    F. Ensure and promote efficient unit operation from an administrative perspective. The 2IC shall manage and oversee the Detachment's administration;
    G. Promote unit cohesion;
    H. Ensure a high level of unit discipline, dress and deportment is maintained at all times; I. Ensure unit's internal order; J. Promote Professional Development of all Officer staff; K. Be overall responsible for ensuring unit discipline; L. Ensure and maintain morale and welfare of all unit members; M. Monitor internal compliance with regulations, guidelines, and orders received; N. Oversee finances and budgets, namely: (1) SWE; (2) NPF; and (3) Public Funds. O. Ensure deadlines are met for 5 CDSG Q Reporting; P. Conduct Bi-weekly Det Admin & Ops Co-ordination; and Q. All other duties as assigned by the CO.
