  4. Basic description of duties: The position D Air Res 5-4 serves as the primary interface (or "desk officer") between D Air Res 5 and Air Reserve Flights (AR Flts) with direct oversight of the career management and professional development and acts as the staff officer for succession and career management policies for the RCAF Reserve. More detaills below. TOAs available upon request. a. Overseeing RCAF Reserve career management of all officers through DP1 and DP2. This includes liaison with AR Flts for the development, execution, and oversight of appropriate training and career management plans; b. Coordinating with D Air Res 5-2 on NCM CM issues. This includes liaison with AR Flts for the development, execution, and oversight of appropriate training and career management plans; c. Regular liaison with AR Flt Comds; d. Responding to research queries from D Air Res or AR Flts and coordinating cohesive and accurate responses; e. Analysing the effect of new policies and directives on the RCAF Reserve and its members to include liaison with Air Staff and organizations outside the RCAF to provide impact analyses on pan-RCAF Reserve programs; f. Providing analyses and interpretation of metrics for topics within the D Air Res 5-4 area of responsibility to address current issues and future requirements; g. Contributing Strategic input for the management and administration of the RCAF Reserve program at the tactical, operational and strategic level; h. Preparing briefs and presentations for senior leadership, RCAF Reserve Seminars and other venues as directed by D Air Res 5; i. Providing input for the D Air Res annual budget and level 4 business plan.
