  1. RCSU PACIFIC has a Class B Temporary for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 00232-13-CIC, or 00360-01-COATS-GS OFF to commence on 16-JUL-2025 until 15-JUL-2026.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Regular Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.

    1. Rank: Capt/Capt
      An applicant whose substantive rank is one rank lower and who is eligible for promotion may apply. Applicants whose substantive rank is higher may apply but, if selected, shall be required to relinquish their rank to that indicated for the position.
    2. MOS ID: 00232-13-CIC, or 00360-01-COATS-GS OFF
      In the absence of a qualified COATS member, a Primary Reserve Force member may be considered and may be offered the position with the condition that the member completes component transfer to COATS, posting to the NDHQ PRL under the administration of DRSM or is attach posted to CJCR with concurrence from their home unit. The posting to the PRL must be approved by DRSM prior to commencement of the period of employment.

  4. Basic description of duties: The Reg Trg O is responsible to the OC Reg Trg for developing tactical level plans for training programs and supervising the delivery for regionally conducted programs. They provide input into amending and updating operational plans to ensure improvement of programming. Primary Duties: - Develop tactical plans for regionally and nationally delivered training activities; - Forecast finanacial and material requirements to support Reg Trg and provide input into related business plans; - Draft orders and instructions for assigned traning activities; - Prepare joining instructions, course schedules and orders; - Secure facilities and equipment that can be booked within normal processing timelines; - Select and supervise Cl A staff to conduct training at regional training establishments, and provide support to these members as required; - Supervise the conduct of training delivered at a regional and/or national training establishment; and - Provide input into the lessons learned for program improvement, and monitor lifecycle management for assigned equipment and assets.

  9. Remarks: A. This is a temporary Cl B position with a continued engagement for up to one year with possible extension. B. Position is geo located in Victoria, BC. An alternate work arrangement will not be considered. C. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date. Applicants must submit their supporting documents to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone on the closing date. D. Upon nomination by the mbrs OR, applicants will be provided with an application form to submit to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone seven days after the REO closing date. The application form is designed to assist the applicant with concisely articulating how they have met the required experience and qualifications, and the secondary requirements of the REO. In addition to the application form, submissions shall include: 1) A Guardian MPRR (in place of cover letter and resume); and 2) No more than 7 documents that support their responses in the application form (e.g. performance evaluations, course reports, letters of recommendation, and awards). E. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval. F. In addition to the meeting the eligibility requirements at ref H, the following are required as conditions of this reserve service and must be obtained prior to and maintained during the period of service: (1) A valid Police Records Check (PRC) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
