- Basic description of duties: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible to the Material Control Officer and exists to provide logistical support for the cadet training program in their area of responsibility.
Primary Duties:
- Supervising and directing assigned personnel and managing assigned budgets.
- Acquiring a full and complete understanding of the logistical requirements to support cadet and COATS training.
- Planning, organizing, coordinating, scheduling and providing logistical support for all authorized activities and scheduling building maintenance and ground transportation as required.
- Initiating and supervising contract requirements under $5K, liaison with the RCSU Contracting Section for contract requirements over $5K, assisting as the on-site supervisor for these contracts, ensuring goods and services are delivered in accordance with a contract’s terms and conditions and utilizing an acquisition card to procure material IAW with Treasury Board and DND policies and regulations.
- Assisting in developing Statements of Work, leases, and in negotiating Standing Offer Agreements and Supply Arrangements.
- Identifying and managing all materiel requirements for cadet and COATS training and acting as the OPI for all logistical support
- Acting as the hazardous materials contact for CTCs, to ensure all issues are properly dealt with.
- Maintaining the Warehouse Supply Customer Account/Supply Location (SCA/SLOC).
- Ensuring that assigned SCA/SLOC are managed and maintained in accordance with Departmental orders, policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that all required materiel is in position prior to the opening of cadet and COATS training and stored properly upon close out.
- Providing input into the RCSU Business Plan and exercising accounting, administration and personnel control as required.
- Developing and monitoring the implementation of logistic requirements for the warehouse.
- Issuing, retrieving and maintaining required materiel and ensuring that all unserviceable materiel is replaced or repaired.
- Evaluating all demands for materiel and taking the necessary procurement action as required.
- Ensuring applicable Non-Public Funds materiel is accounted for and repaired and managing clothing accounts with Logistik Unicorp.
- Verifying weapon and ammunitions inventories and maintaining quarterly reporting of serial numbered accounted equipment (SNAC).
- Developing and monitoring materiel life cycle management plans (SCDs, IPRLs, UCRs and Equipment Procurement Priority Lists).
- Ensuring all allocated funds are expended in accordance with Departmental directives, policies and orders.
- Ensuring that all supply reports, statistical returns and equipment reports are completed and submitted as required.
- Ensure the completion of Personnel Development Reviews (PDRs), Personnel Evaluation Reports (PERs) and Public Servant Performance Agreements on assigned personnel in accordance with Regional policies.

- Remarks: A. This is a permanent Class B position with initial continued engagement for a 3-year period IAW Ref A. Continued Class B service up to six years as per Ref A may be possible based upon authorization of the approval authority, acceptable performance and organizational requirements.

C. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date.
D. Upon nomination by the mbrs OR, applicants will be provided with an application form to submit to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone seven days after the REO closing date. The application form is designed to assist the applicant with concisely articulating how they have met the required experience and qualifications, and the secondary requirements of the REO. In addition to the application form, submissions shall include:
1) A Guardian MPRR (in place of cover letter and resume); and
2) No more than 4 documents that support their responses in the application form (e.g. performance evaluations, course reports, letters of recommendation, and awards).
E. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval.
F. In addition to the meeting the eligibility requirements at ref H, the following are required as conditions of this reserve service and must be obtained prior to and maintained during the period of service:
