  1. RCSU PACIFIC has a Class B Temporary for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 00232-13-CIC, or 00360-01-COATS-GS OFF to commence on 16-APR-2025 until 30-SEP-2026.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force, Canadian Rangers.

    1. Rank: Capt/Capt
      An applicant whose substantive rank is one rank lower and who is eligible for promotion may apply. Applicants whose substantive rank is higher may apply but, if selected, may be required to relinquish their rank to that indicated for the position.
    2. MOS ID: 00232-13-CIC, or 00360-01-COATS-GS OFF
      In the absence of a qualified COATS member, a Primary Reserve Force member may be considered for the position with the condition that the member completes a component transfer to COATS. Limited options for a member to remain in the Primary Reserve Force may be possible.

    A. Experience managing supply administration; and
    B. Working knowledge of DRIMIS, AIMS and Logistik Unicorp.
  4. Basic description of duties: The Material Control Supervisor is responsible to the Material Control Officer and assists in providing supply and contracting support to RCSU and materiel control activities at the Regional level. Primary Duties: - Act as Material Control Officer as required. - Assist in planning and arranging the provision of supply and contracting support of all approved activities and managing the Forward Deployed Warehouses and Contracting Section. - Assist in coordinating contracting services less than $25K and exercising procurement initiation under $150K. - Exercising accounting and administration control as required and utilizing an acquisition card to procure material in accordance with Treasury Board and DND policies and regulations. - Acquiring a full and complete understanding of RCSU requirements and developing and monitoring the required support. - Assist in developing Statements of Work, with the assistance of customers and leases and negotiating Standing Offer Agreements and Supply Arrangements while ensuring requirements are contracted in accordance with Departmental orders, policies and procedures. - Ensuring goods and services are delivered in accordance with the contract’s terms and conditions and implementing procedural and functional processes to improve supply and contracting support. - Assisting with the promulgation of supply and contracting support directives and ensuring Supply Customer Accounts are managed and maintained IAW departmental orders, policies, and procedures. - Arranging the issuing, retrieving and maintaining of materiel, verifying weapon and ammunitions inventories held on Supply Customer Accounts and issuing ammunition in AIMS. - Assist with the development and monitoring of equipment and material life cycle management plans and managing clothing accounts with Logistik Unicorp. - Assisting with the development of IPRLs and equipment procurement priority lists and ensuring that all supply and contracting reports and statistical returns are completed and submitted as required. - Providing input into the RCSU Business Plan, managing assigned funds and ensuring allocations are expended in accordance with Departmental directives, policies and orders. - Ensuring that Performance and Competency Evaluation (PaCE) and Public Servant Performance Agreements are completed in accordance with regional and national policies and practices.

  9. Remarks: A. This is a temporary Cl B position with possible extension. The applicant will be a Staff Officer within RCSU Pacific HQ. Initially, they will be in the job of J4 Material Control Supervisor but can expect to be assigned to other tasks and potentially fill another role within the Formation during their period of Cl B Res Svc. B. Position is geo located in Victoria BC. An alternate work arrangement will not be considered. C. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date. D. Upon nomination by the mbrs OR, applicants will be provided with an application form to submit to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone seven days after the REO closing date. The application form is designed to assist the applicant with concisely articulating how they have met the required experience and qualifications, and the secondary requirements of the REO. In addition to the application form, submissions shall include: 1) A Guardian MPRR (in place of cover letter and resume); and 2) No more than 4 documents that support their responses in the application form (e.g. performance evaluations, course reports, letters of recommendation, and awards). E. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval. F. In addition to the meeting the eligibility requirements at ref H, the following are required as conditions of this reserve service and must be obtained prior to and maintained during the period of service: 1) A valid Police Records Check (PRC) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
