- Basic description of duties:
A. Act as the Wing OPI for matters pertaining to IM/IT security and liaise with outside agencies WRT related requirements and completion of projects/initiatives;
B. Maintain a thorough understanding of IS hardware and software;
C. Assist Base Service Management Centre (SMC) by investigating IT security incidents and advising on IT security matters;
D. Periodically liaise with 16 Wg user communities to determine if their current and future requirements are in line with IT security policy;
E. Be aware of concerns/issues relative to system design and configuration through the Request For Change (RFC) and Request For Service (RFS) processes and ensure changes are documented locally;
F. Maintain local security orders and spearhead general IT security awareness;
G. Liaise with Borden SMC and the Borden BISSO for matters relating to 16 Wg member account authorization and access; and
H. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
