  1. RCSU EASTERN has a Class B Temporary for a Lt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 00232-13-CIC, or 00360-01-COATS-GS OFF to commence on 01-APR-2025 until 29-AUG-2025.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service.

    7. Required experience and quals:
      Courses:
      Quals: Prior to taking up their duties, the candidate must meet the security requirements applicable to members serving with the Canadian Cadet Program, including obtaining the appropriate security clearance, the Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening (PRC / VSS). Any employment offer will be conditional on the certification that the chosen candidate meets the required security standards. In accordance with the Military Human Resources Records Procedures (MHRRP), the member's home unit will be contacted to ensure that the member has no administrative or disciplinary action pending against him.
      Competency Remarks:
      (1) Knowledge of personnel selection policies and procedures, with respect to the recruitment of A and B classes as well as Staff Cadets; (2) Ability to master and use Microsoft collaboration and productivity tools effectively; (3) Knowledge of promotion policies and terms of service;(4) Ability to withstand periods of stress caused by tight schedules or unforeseen events; (5) Developed communication skills, both oral and written; (6) Knowledge of Fortress; (7) Significant experience and/or problem solving skills; (8) Significant experience in working well with others to achieve organizational goals; (9) Recent knowledge of the Cadet summer training program; (10) Ability to work independently, take initiatives and adapt quickly to new challenges; (11) FAA Art. 32, 33 and 34 (renewable every three years); (12) Working knowledge of SSRR, MM and E-Partitioning; (13) Working knowledge of the Canadian Forces Tasking, Plans and Operations (CFTPO) software; (14) Experience in human resources; (15) An undergraduate degree or a combination of post-secondary education, military and civilian HR qualifications or relevant experience; (16) Customer service competency, combining interpersonal skills with efficiency ; and (17) Practical experience on a Cadet Training Centre (CTC).

  4. Basic description of duties: Planning
    A. Update budget;
    B. Update Canadian Forces Task Plans and Operation (CFTPO) tasks;
    C. Collaborate with the responsible for reliability clearance (RC) follow-up;
    D. Track Police Records Check (PRC) with the Vulnerability Sector Screening (VSS) of staff on duty during the summer period;
    E. Attend meetings related to their duties;
    F. Select staff according to CTC needs and required qualifications;
    G. Manage civilian instructor contracts;
    H. Manage the CF 899 reserve Force - route Letter and Attendance Report calss B Reserve Service; I. Hire Class A personnel; J. Manage the pay of class A personnel; K. Obtain approval of travel plans for staff in temporary travel duty ; L. Keep the CTC Comd informed of staffing situation; M. Complete the process/condition check; N. Propose new work processes; O. Contribute to the updating of tools and work processes; P. Contribute to the update of the staffing SharePoint; Operation Q. Perform replacements following adult staff withdrawals; R. Perform replacements following the withdrawals of the staff cadets; S. Update work tools; T. Update Fortress; U. Proceed with the hiring of PS personnel; V. Track CTC positions; W. Collaborate with HR team members; X. Participate in senior staff meetings; Y. Maintain planned and actual staffing levels; Z. Welcome staff to CTC; and AA. Start staff pay.

The applicant will be a member of the RCSU East staff. Initially, the applicant will occupy the position of Staffing Officer, but can expect to be assigned to other duties and possibly fulfill another role within the RCSU for the duration of the employment period according to his/her supervisor. E. The member is responsible for contacting his/her home unit to request an REO appointment. The unit must ensure that the member has no outstanding administrative or disciplinary actions on file prior to appointment. F. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This permanent position is advertised as an Option 1 or Option 2 reserve employment opportunity; however, preference will be given to properly qualified non-annuitant applicants.
