      (1) Knowledge and experience in the application of federal government and DND policies, including FAM and CFTDTI; (2) Have the prerequisites for a Transport Canada security clearance (secret level) in order to obtain a Montreal Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RICI); (3) Strong experience in planning and coordinating activities; (4) Good experience in people management; (5) Knowledge of DND and provincial transportation policies and regulations, including those related to minor passengers; (6) Ability to effectively solve problems and manage crisis situations; (7) Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; (8) Military driver’s licence DND 404 class 5 or have the prerequisites for its issue; and (9) Experience working in a cadet training center (CTC).

  4. Basic description of duties: Planning
    A. Organize the Movement Coordination Center's (MCC) ramp up with Mtl Ops;
    B. Coordinate the MCC decommissioning with Mtl Ops;
    C. Plan team schedules based on business needs;
    D. Develop contingency plans to deal with unforeseen events;
    E. Coordinate MCC spheres of activity: transportation (arrivals and departures);
    F. Control quality on routes;
    G. Liaise with regional movement officers (Atlantic, Central, Northwest and Pacific);
    H. Liaise with stakeholders in the passenger transportation industry (securities, passenger services, caterers, hotel operators); I. Establish coordinated, synchronized and efficient operations from start to finish. Opérations J. Supervise cadets at airports, terminals, stations and cadet assembly point (CAP); K. Accompany cadets on board the transport; L. Coordinate accommodation on the road and in garrison; M. Coordinate meals during travel and garrison; N. Manage claims; O. Supervise six COAST officers; P. The applicant will be a member of the RCSU East staff. Initially, the applicant will occupy the position of Coordinator officer of MCC, but can expect to be assigned to other duties and possibly fulfill another role within the RCSU for the duration of the employment period according to his/her supervisor. e. The member is responsible for contacting his/her home unit to request an REO appointment. The unit must ensure that the member has no outstanding administrative or disciplinary actions on file prior to appointment. f. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This permanent position is advertised as an Option 1 or Option 2 reserve employment opportunity; however, preference will be given to properly qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a properly qualified COATS or primary reserve member, regular force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 contract basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. The annuitant's periods of employment shall not exceed three years in the position to which the position is to be posted for competition through the REO.
