- Basic description of duties: Each Junior supervisor is responsible to Their Supervisor. An Aircraft Technician normally of the rank MCpl shall fill this position. His/Her duties shall consist of the following:
Technical: a. signing for and taking responsibility for technical tasks within the scope of your authorizations.
b. detailing and supervising personnel to carry out servicing and maintenance duties ;
c. carrying out and assisting personnel with servicing functions for squadron and transient aircraft;
d. supervising work carried out by subordinates and, if authorized, signing level A or independent check on maintenance work orders.
e. ensure all crew personnel understand and follow safety precautions and regulations, including those published in the 402 Sqn MAP, CFTOs, or displayed on Safety boards;
f. ensuring crew personnel use proper tools, equipment, materials, and that the work is being carried out in accordance with applicable orders;
h. ensuring crew personnel are familiar with fire fighting equipment and the location of fire alarm boxes;
i. ensuring Tool control Orders & Regulations are adhered to; and,
j. ensuring all WHMIS Requirements are met.
Administration: a. editing and preparing forms, reports, and returns as required for submission to supervisors;
b. maintaining aircraft Maintenance Record Sets and
related forms; and,
c. preparing and completing Feedback notes & PARs for Subordinates.
