  1. CFFCA has a Class B Permanent for a Cpl/Cpl MOS ID/Occupation 00149-01-FIRE FTR to commence on 15-APR-2025 until 14-APR-2028.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Cpl/Cpl
      Pte/S2 eligible for promotion and MCpl/MS willing to relinquish their rank can apply but will only be considered if no qualified Cpl/S1 are found. Pte/S2 not eligible for promotion may also apply but will only be considered if no promotable Pte/S2, substantive Cpl/S1 or MCpl/MS willing to relinquish their rank is found.
    2. MOS ID: 00149-01-FIRE FTR
      Other MOS IDs may be considered if no suitable candidate is found in the required MOS ID
    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: a. NFPA 1001 Fire an asset b. First Aid/CPR an asset c. Level 3 MSA Breathing Certified Tech d. Basic Computer Crse (MS Excel, Powerpoint) e. Be able to obtain and maintain DND 404's
  4. Basic description of duties: a. Repair and maintain all breathing MSA G1 b. Maintain the condition and Hydro test dates of all high pressure

    A. Bottles c. Qual on the Porta-Count d. Fit test staff/students throughout all courses e. Multi-task in fast paced environment for large amount of students f. Maintain hours and air samples of air compressors g. Order supplies and maintain budget with the department h. Assist FTS Stores person as required i. Aid with general administration j. Instructor's aid as required k. Any additional tasks as directed by supervisor
