  1. RCSU CENTRAL has a Class B Permanent for a MCpl/MCpl MOS ID/Occupation 00168-01-MAT MGT TECH, or 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 90000-ATR to commence on 01-MAR-2025 until 29-FEB-2028.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

    1. Rank: MCpl/MCpl
      Members who are ranked one rank higher or one rank lower may apply. Members may be required to voluntarily relinquish their rank in order to be considered to fill the position, as per Ref A.
    2. MOS ID: 00168-01-MAT MGT TECH, or 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 90000-ATR
      In the absence of a qualified COATS member, a Primary Reserve Force member may be considered and may be offered the position with the condition that the member completes component transfer to COATS, posting to the NDHQ PRL under the administration of DRSM or is attach posted to CJCR with concurrence from their home unit. The posting to the PRL must be approved by DRSM prior to commencement of the period of employment.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:

  4. Basic description of duties: The Mat Mgt Tech is responsible to the Warehouse Supervisor and maintains administrative files, manages correspondence, and provides administrative support to Warehouse staff. They assist in the provision of logistical support to all cadet and COATS training in their assigned geographical area. Primary duties:
    A. Acquiring a full and complete understanding of the supply requirements to support the cadet and COATS training programs;
    B. Receiving, issuing, delivering, recovering, maintaining, conditioning, and storing materiel;
    C. Assisting the Warehouse Supervisor in ensuring assigned Supply Customer Accounts (SLOC) are managed and maintained in accordance with Departmental orders, policies, and procedures;
    D. Conduct SLOC verifications as required;
    E. Utilizing an acquisition card to procure material in accordance with Treasury Board and DND policies and regulations;
    F. Ensuring that all unserviceable materiel is replaced or repaired;
    G. Evaluating all demands for materiel and taking the necessary action for procurement as required;
    H. Assisting with cadet corps clothing accounts with Logistik Unicorp; I. Assisting with Weapon Verifications and ammunitions inventories held on Supply Customer Accounts; J. Assisting in developing and monitoring material life cycle management plans; K. Assisting with developing Unsatisfactory Condition Report (UCRs), and Equipment Procurement Priority Lists; L. Ensuring goods and services are delivered in accordance with contracted terms and conditions; M. Identifying and assisting with all materiel requirements; N. Assisting with the establishment of procedural and functional processes to improve logistical support to all training programs; O. Under Direction of CoC, ensuring all allocated funds are expended in accordance with Departmental directives, policies, and orders; and P. Producing supply reports, statistical returns and equipment reports as required under direction of CoC. *Member may be required to support CTC's and overnight tasks during the trg year.

The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This permanent position is advertised as either A. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This permanent position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified COATS or Primary Reserve non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 contract basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Annuitant employment periods shall not exceed three years in the position at which time the position must be posted for competition through REO; C.
