- Basic description of duties: The Movements and Transportation Officer is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution of all aspects for the safe transportation of cadets.
- Coordinate Cadet Program movement's plans with regional movement staff;
- Act as the CJCR Gp focal point for airlift charters;
- Act as the CJCR Gp fleet manager;
- Act as the administrator of the Travel Authorization Number (TAN) account for the HQ; including issuing TANs, verification of charges and Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) reconciliation;
- Manage Fleet Vehicle requirements across the CJCR Gp and coordinate with Director Support Vehicles Program Management (DSVPM) for procurement of new vehicles;
- Act as the Fleet Management System (FMS) System Administrator for CJCR Gp personnel who require access to that system;
- Identify, analyse, and resolve transportation problems by making recommendations to senior management;
- Respond to transportation inquiries and recommend appropriate strategies and COAs for resolution;
- Liaise with regional staff, commands and other SMEs, as required, to ensure that the transportation needs of the CCO are met;
- Liaise with Strategic Joint Staff J4 Transportation for policy update or make recommendation to improve the clarity and the application of Transportation policies related to Cadet Support;
- Liaise with the national/division and local vehicle fleet management to ensure the vehicles in support of the Cadet Program are validated, replaced/procured, well maintained, and disposed;
- Liaise with Shared Travel Services to communicate overall Commercial Travel requirements and issues concerning cadet travel;
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, presentations, and other documents for senior management; and
- Fulfill the role of CJCR Gp J4 as required.

- Remarks: A. This is a permanent Cl B position with a continued engagement for a three year period. The applicant will be a Staff Officer within the Fmn HQ. Initially, they will be in the job of J4 Transportation Officer, but can expect to be assigned to other tasks and potentially fill another role within the Fmn during their period of service.
B. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date. C. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval.
