  1. HMCS CHAMPLAIN has a Class B Temporary for a PO 2/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 90000-ATR to commence on 30-MAR-2025 until 28-MAR-2026.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Regular Force, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.

Basic description of duties: The Naval Reserve Recruiter is responsible to the NRD Commanding Officer and Senior Regional Naval Recruiter for the following specific duties and responsibilities: a. attending the Naval Reserve Unit Recruiter (NRUR) course during their first six months of employment; b. completing the requisite OJT within six months of the completion of the NRUR; c. remaining current with all NAVRES recruiting policies and practices; d. attracting suitable candidates to meet established recruiting objectives; e. updating the Share-Point Event Calendar with annual attractions activities containing the following information: (1) all recruiting activities in which the unit intends to participate; (2) dates and periods where those activities will take place; (3) the human, financial and material resources that need to be engaged; and (4) after-action reports post completion of all attractions events/initiatives. f. providing assistance with REG F Navy recruiting activities at the local/regional Canadian Forces Recruiting Center (CFRC) when requested; g. assisting the NRD Public Affairs Officer (PAO) and Unit Visibility Team (UVT) to prepare and conduct public general information sessions on a regular basis; h. answering recruiting-related telephone or internet inquires; and i. participate in mobile recruiting activities (e.g.: career employment fairs/events). j. providing accurate records of all unit recruiting activities and provide quarterly attraction and recruiting reports to the Region; k. conducting preliminary interviews of potential candidates to: (1) evaluate the candidate's basic enrolment admissibility; (2) explain the recruiting process to the candidate; (3) guide candidates towards occupations that suit their personal interests and needs; and (4) advise candidates about their occupation choices as they relate to quotas. l. supervise the Naval Reserve File Manager by reviewing/monitoring applicant processing in relation to NAVRES files; m. supervise the Assistant Naval Reserve Unit Recruiter by reviewing/monitoring processing and attractions in relation to NAVRES files; n. become familiar with the duties of the Naval Reserve File Manager, so that interruptions to file processing can be minimized in the File Managers absence; o. ensure updates, log entries, checklists, and bin movements in CFRIMS for all applicant processing is completed in a timely manner, guaranteeing accurate statistics at the HQ level; p. adhere to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the local CFRC; q. ensure follow-up of each applicant's file through the different processing stages; r. conduct the following processing steps for each individual applicant: (1) review applicant forms, ID's, and transcripts; (2) assess pre-security requirements; (3) conduct enrolment physical fitness testing; (4) conduct CFAT, MOST, and WCPT testing as required; (5) conduct NPD briefing and CFAT counselling as required; (6) conduct employment reference checks; (7) conduct various waiver requests as required; (8) conduct abbreviated interviews on all applicants; (9) make suitability assessments on all applicants; and (10) complete a final QC on all files prior to request for enrolment.
