  4. Basic description of duties: THE FOCUS OF THE POSITION IS THE ON-GOING PROVISION OF FOOD SERVICE SUPPORT TO THE TRAINING CENTRE AND SUPPORTED LOCAL UNITS AND ACTIVITIES. THIS INCLUDES THE PERIODIC REQUIREMENT FOR DUTY ON EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS. THE POSITION REQUIRES SUPERVISION OF A KITCHEN AND DINING FACILITY FOR UP TO 1000 DINERS PER MEAL. INCLUDING RESPONSIBILITES FOR PRODUCTION, MANAGEMENT, STAFFING AND LABOUR RELATIONS; INCLUDING RESPONSIBLITY TO LIASE WITH OUTSIDE AGENCIES AND SUPPORT PROVIDERS AND ALL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DUTIES ASSOCIATED WITH FOOD SERVICES; LIAISON WITH USER UNITS AND ORGANIZATIONS TO COORDINATE FOOD REQUIREMENTS, PERSONNEL AND SERVICES. THE FOOD SERVICES SUPERVISOR IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COORDINATION OF STAFFING RELATING TO THE HIRING OF FOOD SERVICES PERSONNEL, INCLUDING THE REQURIEMENT TO CONDUCT TO INDIVIDUAL INTERVIEWS. THE FOOD SERVICE MANAGER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CALCULATION OF PERSONNEL AND MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR FOOD SERVICE OPERATIONS; THE MANAGEMENT OF ALL COSTS RELATED TO THE FOOD SERVICE OPERATIONS, ENSURING THAT THE FOOD SERVICE BUDGET IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BUSINESS PLAN TO VERIFY THAT MENUS AND MENU PATTERNS ARE IN KEEPING WITH CURRENT CAF AND J4 FOOD SERVICES POLICY; ON-GOING MONITORING AND VERIFCATION OF FOOD, LABOUR AND NON-FOOD ITEMS AS PER ALLOTTED BUDGET. THE FOOD SERVICE MANAGER MUST MONITOR QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF FOOD PRODUCED AND SERVE
    D. ENSURE FOOD ITEMS ARE PROCURED AND MANAGED IAW GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS; ENSURE THAT REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO PERSONNEL EMPLOYED IN THE KITCHEN ARE ADHERED TO, AND DELEGATION OF PERSONNEL AND THE ASSIGNMENT AND SUPERVISON OF DUTIES FOR FOOD SERVICES KITCHEN SUPERVISORS. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST BE EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE OF CF FOOD SERVICE PROCEDURES AND SERVICE STANDARDS. THIS INCLUDES DETAILED KNOWLEDGE OF RATION ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL CONTROL. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST DEMONSTRATE PROFICIENCY IN READING UNITRAK PERFORMANCE SUMMARY REPORTS.
