  1. NATL CJCR Sp Gp HQ has a Class B Permanent for a MCpl/MCpl MOS ID/Occupation 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 00375-01-HRA to commence on 01-MAR-2025 until 29-FEB-2028.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Canadian Rangers, Regular Force.

    1. Rank: MCpl/MCpl
      Applicants whose substantive rank is one rank lower and who is eligible for promotion may apply. Applicants whose substantive rank is higher may apply but, if selected shall be required to voluntarily relinquish their rank to that indicated for the position.
    2. MOS ID: 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 00375-01-HRA
      In the absence of a qualified COATS member, a Primary Reserve Force member may be considered for the position with the condition that the member completes a component transfer to COATS. Limited options for a member to remain in the Primary Reserve Force with a posting to the NDHQ PRL or attached posting from their home unit may be possible under the administration and approval of DRSM.

  4. Basic description of duties: The HQ Sr HR Admin provides human resource services to military members of the CJCR Gp HQ and provides information on benefits, entitlements and allowances. Sr HR Admin is 2 I/C of the Orderly Room and acts as the HR Manager in the absence of the mbr holding the position. - Enter member data in HRMS/Guardian, RPSR, CCPS and Monitor Mass; - Maintain Res F pers files, complete annual stripping of pers files and archiving of unit files; - Respond to telephone and email inquiries; - Maintain and archive central registry files; - Prepare documentation for signature; - Prepare Class A/B documentation and enter data in HRMS/Guardian/RPSR; - Prepare Records of Employment (ROE) using ROE Web; - Prepare casualty administration; - Report administrative pay and benefit issues; - Prepare unit administration including in/out routine, certificates, entitlements, compensation benefits, establishment changes, annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, promotion, appointment, transfer, honours and awards and Military Personal Record Resume (MPRR); - Prepare, review and verify release package and all necessary paperwork for final processing, including Guardian release forms, (Released Personnel Pay Office) RPPO checklist and (Release Transfer Notification Message) RTNM according to regulations; - Complete documentation for members releasing or transferring; - Ensure timely response to member queries; and - Support the OR HR Manager.

  9. Remarks: A. This is a permanent Cl B position with a continued engagement for a three year period. B. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date. Applicants must submit their supporting documents to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone on the closing date C. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval. D.
