- Basic description of duties: The Training Coordinator is responsible to support the planning, coordination and conduct of Individual Training and Education (IT&E) assigned to the company and/or COATS National Training Establishment (NTE).
- Assist with the development of training plans, schedules, operations orders and completion of support requests for assigned training activities;
- Assist with the maintenance and delivery of scheduled NTE IT&E;
- Coordinate the provision of service support for assigned activities;
- Ensure that the provision of support remains within approved activity budget and seek additional authorization when actual costs exceed approved allocation;
- Liaise with the NTE coordination section to share information on issues and successes;
- Assist with the development of support requirements for NTE action plans;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide support to NTE IT&E;
- Assist in budget management and exercise delegated 32/24 authorities;
- Request and coordinate the allocation and use of facilities and equipment;
- Complete Administer Training Conduct functions in the Guardian systems;
- Prepare reports, messages, and instructions;
- Support the acquisition, maintenance and distribution of training aids and equipment; and
- Coordinate COATS training related information/knowledge management process.

- Remarks: A. This is a permanent Cl B position with a continued engagement for a three year period.
B. Position is geo located in Victoria, BC. An alternate work arrangement may be considered in the event the qualified applicant is not in a position to relocate and can perform the work from a DND facility such as an RCSU or area office. Remote work from another location will not be considered.
C. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date. Applicants must submit their supporting documents to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone on the closing date
D. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval.
E. Applicants must provide an application package describing specifically how the applicant satisfies each of the required experience and qualifications and secondary requirements. Only the information provided, along with the applicant's MPRR, will be used to determine the applicant's match to the required experience and qualifications and secondary requirements for the position, and their past performance and potential. 2) COATS members who are employed on Cl B service in excess of 180 days will be required to participate in the CAF FORCE program on an annual basis;
3) Guardian/MITE functions;
4) Sec 32, 33, 34 of the FAA; and
5) Green Procurement.
