  1. CA Int Regt has a Class B Permanent for a WO/WO MOS ID/Occupation 90000-ATR to commence on 01-APR-2025 until 31-MAR-2028.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: WO/WO
      IAW ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available.       Competency Remarks:
      1. Must have experience in producing Signals recce reports, including conducting map recce, preparing warning orders, performing recce preparation, and participating in Signals reconnaissance;
      2. Essential to have experience directing CP setup, maintaining updated shift logs per SOPs (e.g., CCIR, maintenance, schedules), producing comprehensive site diagrams (e.g., antenna farm, power distribution, CP layout, accommodations, defense), sustaining CP operations (e.g., handover procedures, communication/maintenance logs), and coordinating equipment maintenance and end-user support; and
      3. Must have operational experience in designing CIS tactical network connectivity architectures, creating HF signals plans, and planning electromagnetic spectrum allocation.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    A. Must have experience in the planning, coordinating, and managing all communication and information systems (CIS) requirements to support both garrison and operational activities;
    B. Must understand compliance with CAF doctrine and oversee the maintenance, security, and allocation of all CIS equipment, including radios, networks, and secure communication devices;
    C. Must be a technical expert in troubleshooting complex issues, advising command on communication infrastructure, and implementing upgrades to enhance capabilities;
    D. Required experience on ISSO policies and procedures for unclassified and Level 2 systems; and
    E. Office 365, Monitor MASS and Microsoft Office Suite are essential to this position.
  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior personnel, including Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) and soldiers within the Signals team;
    B. Oversee the training, development, and performance of the Signals team, ensuring high standards are maintained;
    C. Serve as the Regimental Unclassified/Level 2 Information System Security Officer (ISSO);
    D. Serve as the technical authority on communications and information systems (CIS), providing advice on the integration, operation, and maintenance of communication networks;
    E. Evaluate and implement new technologies, ensuring compatibility and operational effectiveness within the unit or formation;
    F. Develop and implement communication plans, ensuring seamless support for operational requirements and exercises;
    G. Coordinate with other units and agencies to integrate communication capabilities, such as tactical communications, network security, and information systems;
    H. Manage the unit's Signals operations, including the establishment and maintenance of communication networks, ensuring connectivity and interoperability; I. Monitor and troubleshoot network issues to maintain effective and secure communication channels during operations; J. Ensure the security of all communication and information systems, adhering to policies, regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to classified information and cybersecurity; K. Conduct audits and inspections to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements; L. Manage the allocation and maintenance of technical equipment, ensuring operational readiness; M. Oversee procurement, budgeting, and the logistics of signal-related resources and equipment and accountability for all CIS Equipment; N. Support deployed operations by establishing and maintaining communication links, providing advice on signal-related issues, and ensuring the unit's CIS capabilities are fully operational; O. May be required to deploy with the unit to provide on-ground expertise and technical support; P. Act as a liaison between the Signals unit and higher command, ensuring communication requirements are met and reported as necessary; and Q. Coordinate with other branches and units to support joint operations and enhance overall mission effectiveness.
