  1. RCSU NORTHWEST has a Class B Permanent for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 00375-01-HRA, or 00003-01-NCM, or 90000-ATR to commence on 02-DEC-2024 until 01-DEC-2027.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Regular Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.

    1. Rank: Sgt/Sgt
      IAW ref A, applicants holding the substantive rank for the position, those who are one rank lower, and those who are one rank higher will be considered at the same time in the selection process.       Applicants shall demonstrate through provision of suitable documentation that they meet the following essential skills, knowledge, experience and qualification screening requirements: (1) Experience in Orderly Room administration; (2) Working knowledge of MS Office Suite; (3) Working knowledge of HRMS/GUARDIAN/RPSR; (4) Enhanced interpersonal skills; and (5) Competent written and verbal communication skills.

    A. Prior experience working in support of the CCO; and
    B. Prior experience working in a HQ type setting.
  4. Basic description of duties: The J1 HR Supervisor (Records & Pay) provides human resource services to military members and provides information on benefits, entitlements and allowances. Main task activities include, but are not limited to
    A. Enter member data in HRMS/GUARDIAN, RPSR and Monitor Mass;
    B. Complete annual maintenance of personnel files and archiving of unit files;
    C. Prepare documentation for signature;
    D. Enter data into Web SCPC for Reliability Screening/Security Clearances for members;
    E. Issue Service Numbers to Civilian Instructors and Staff Cadets;
    F. Prepare Class A and B documentation and enter data in HRMS/GUARDIAN/RPSR;
    G. Prepare Records of Employment (ROE) using ROE Web;
    H. Prepare relocation request documentation; I. Prepare casualty administration; J. Report administrative pay and benefit issues; and K. Prepare unit administration including in/out routine, certificates and medals, entitlements, compensation benefits, establishment changes, PRV, Annual Leave, leave cash out, parental leave and MPRRs.

  9. Remarks: A. This is a permanent Class B position with a three year engagement period IAW ref A. Continued Class B service up to six years as per ref A may be possible based upon authorization of the approval authority, acceptable performance and organizational requirements. Initially, they will be in the job as identified within this REO, but can expect to be assigned to other tasks and potentially fill another role within the RCSU during their employment period. B. This is not a remote work opportunity. C. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass a minimum of 48 hours prior to the competition closing date. Supporting documents must be received by the REO OPI no later than 2359 Central Standard Time on the closing date. D. IAW refs A and E, in the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, an annuitant may be approved for employment in this position by the VCDS. Annuitants may be employed through this REO for a maximum of 3 years in the advertised position, at which time the position shall be posted for competition. E. Applicants must provide a cover letter and resume describing in detail specifically how the applicant satisfies each of the required experience, quals and secondary requirements, as well as the following: 1) Security clearance expiry date; 2) Dates available; 3) Contact numbers at work and home; 4) Confirmation of whether or not member is in receipt of a pension under the CFSA attributable to Reg F svc; 5) Email contact information for two work references; Members current military supervisor may also be contacted; 6) Copy of their MPRR; and 7) Supporting documentation pertinent to the position. The following are required as conditions of this reserve service and must be obtained prior to the commencement of service: 1) A valid Police Records Check (PRC) with Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS); 2) A valid medical; and 3) Meet dental standards.
