  1. RCSU PACIFIC has a Class B Permanent for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 90000-ATR to commence on 16-JAN-2025 until 15-JAN-2028.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Cadet Org and Trg Service, Primary Reserve Force, Regular Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.

      An applicant whose substantive rank is one rank lower and who is eligible for promotion may apply. Applicants whose substantive rank is higher may apply but, if selected, may be required to relinquish their rank to that indicated for the position.
    2. MOS ID: 00359-01-COATS-GS NCM, or 90000-ATR
      In the absence of a qualified COATS member, a Primary Reserve Force member may be considered for the position with the condition that the member completes a component transfer to COATS. Limited options for a member to remain in the Primary Reserve Force may be possible.
    3. Language: English essential

      1. Experience in Orderly Room supervision.
      2. Extensive knowledge of records management and policies regarding promotions, terms or service and rank entitlements.
      3. Working knowledge of the RPSR and supporting documents.
      4. Working knowledge of HRMS/Guardian/CFTPO.
      5. Demonstrated experience using MS Office Suite.
      6. Enhanced interpersonal skills.
      7. Enhanced written and verbal communication skills.

Basic description of duties: The J1 Staffing Supervisor is responsible for the provision of human resource services to include the generation of reports, supervising records management; pay; clearance processing; leave maintenance and monitoring client service. Primary Duties: - Supervising the performance and efficiency of the HR Specialist (CTC Staffing) Clerks. - Managing the annual leave process for CTC staff. - Adhering to policy directives and procedures issued by various agencies are followed. - Coordinating the selection of adults and staff cadets for part-time employment. - Managing the Summer Staffing group inbox. - Entering data into CFTPO during the tasking process. - Preparing and distributing Class B employment opportunity messages using REO for employment opportunities. - Receiving applications for Class B employment opportunities and preparing files for review. - Preparing applicant files for the Review Board Secretary. - Recommending procedural and functional processes to improve personnel selection.

  9. Remarks: A. This is a permanent Class B position with a continued engagement for a three year period. Continued Class B service up to six years as per Ref A may be possible based upon authorization of the approval authority, acceptable performance and organizational requirements. B. Position is geo located in Victoria. An alternate work arrangement will not be considered. C. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date. D. Upon nomination by the mbrs OR, applicants will be provided with an application form to submit to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone seven days after the REO closing date. The application form is designed to assist the applicant with concisely articulating how they have met the required experience and qualifications, and the secondary requirements of the REO. In addition to the application form, submissions shall include: 1) A Guardian MPRR (in place of cover letter and resume); and 2) No more than 4 documents that support their responses in the application form (e.g. performance evaluations, course reports, letters of recommendation, and awards). E. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval. F. In addition to the meeting the eligibility requirements at ref H, the following are required as conditions of this reserve service and must be obtained prior to and maintained during the period of service: 1) A valid Police Records Check (PRC) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS); and 2) COATS members who are employed on Cl B service in excess of 180 days will be required to participate in the CAF FORCE program on an annual basis.
