  1. 3 Cdn Div TC has a Class B Permanent for a Maj/Maj MOS ID/Occupation 00002-01-Officer to commence on 15-JAN-2025 until 14-JAN-2028.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: Experience as a staff officer, ideally in Ops or IT. Familiarity with IT Staff processes; including role of Stds officer, Ops O, and ITO. Applicant should have experience working in a school environment, with an understanding of Individual training (IT).
  4. Basic description of duties: Chief Instructor (CI) is charged with the oversight of trg conducted by the TC and is assigned as the 3 Cdn Div PRes IT Authority Senior Staff Officer. The CI is responsible to the CO for the following: a. Schedule training; b. Ensure all training conducted is IAW the applicable QS and TP; c. Ensure that all students are treated fairly and in a manner consistent with current CAF, CA, CADTC, 3 Cdn Div, and 3 CDTC policies; d. Provide over watch during instructor standardization training. One week of standardization training shall be conducted annually in Sept following APS; e. The training, administration, discipline, conduct, dress, deportment and welfare of subordinates; f. Counsel subordinate personnel IAW CFPAS and generate PDR/PERs as per policy; g. Tasks as assigned in 3 CDD (PRITA) which include Out-Year planning and In-Year conduct and monitoring of 3 Cdn Div PRes IT; h. Provide recommendations on senior PRes appointments during the 3 Cdn Div PRes Reserve Summer Training (RST) Program; i. Be prepared to assume the duties of Division Chief Standards Officer or the DCO in their absence; and j. Secondary duties and supervise subordinate appointments as detailed in the Unit Op Plan.
