A. Prior experience working in support of the Canadian Cadet Organizations.
- Basic description of duties: The J8 Financial Services Administration (Travel & Claims) is responsible to the J8 Senior Financial Services Administration (Travel & Claims) for arranging adult travel and initiating travel claims.
Duties include:
- Participating in training as required.
- Issue Travel Identification Numbers as required.
- Contact adult staff to confirm travel details.
- Ensure proper authorizations are in place and arrange all adult travel requirements.
- Initiate travel claims and manage associated administration.
- Respond to queries from units and staff regarding travel and claims.

- Remarks: A. This is a permanent Class B position with initial continued engagement for a 3-year period IAW Ref A. Continued Class B service up to six years as per Ref A may be possible based upon authorization of the approval authority, acceptable performance and organizational requirements.
B. Position is geo located in Victoria. An alternate work arrangement will not be considered.
C. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit OR to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass prior to the competition closing date.
D. Upon nomination by the mbrs OR, applicants will be provided with an application form to submit to the REO OPI no later than 2359hrs in their own time zone seven days after the REO closing date. The application form is designed to assist the applicant with concisely articulating how they have met the required experience and qualifications, and the secondary requirements of the REO. In addition to the application form, submissions shall include:
1) A Guardian MPRR (in place of cover letter and resume); and
2) No more than 4 documents that support their responses in the application form (e.g. performance evaluations, course reports, letters of recommendation, and awards).
E. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however, preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Extension to annuitant employment periods require additional approval.
F. In addition to the meeting the eligibility requirements at ref H, the following are required as conditions of this reserve service and must be obtained prior to and maintained during the period of service:
1) A valid Police Records Check (PRC) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS); and
2) COATS members who are employed on Cl B service in excess of 180 days will be required to participate in the CAF FORCE program on an annual basis.
